    Talk of the future. Tina’s on a mission.

    “Ok. I can hire one of the grad film students to videotape it and probably a couple of the art majors to take the pictures.”

    And there it was. Our wedding plans were coming together in a short amount of time and to add to that, trying for another baby. Life just didn’t get better than that. We lay together for a while talking about the plans that we would be solidifying soon and it felt so right. Tina and I were planning a future that included those we love and one that we can only now dream about.

    We finally made our way into the house. We went in to check on Angie and she was sitting in her bed awake. I had envisioned us coming into the house, checking on Angie and going into our room and making love until we were both too exhausted to go on. This put a small wrinkle in my plan. She smiled when she saw us like it was morning time instead of 10:00pm. She wasn’t hot to the touch nor did she complain about anything. She was just awake and Tina looked at me with the same look of regret. We just smiled at one another. This time next year we would be losing the battle with two of them hopefully and it would be well worth it. I picked Angie up and carried her into our room. I placed her in the middle of the bed as Tina went and got changed. When she came out, I went in and got ready for bed. When I climbed into bed, Angie was talking up a storm giving no indication that she was going to be going to sleep anytime soon. Tina said that naptime at school must have been later causing this late night burst of energy. If she wasn’t tired, that was on her because I was and fell asleep listening to her banter.

    I was in a deep sleep when I felt someone shaking me. At first I was confused but as I opened my eyes, I saw it was Tina.

    “What’s wrong?” I asked her.

    “Come with me. Bette, wake up and come with me please.”

    I lay there long after Bette and Angie had fallen asleep thinking of the tentative plans we had made. I was so excited. We were making plans that were simple yet would make us happy. The best for me was that Bette was agreeable to us trying for another baby. As crazy as it may be, I wanted to be pregnant at the ceremony. I wanted our baby to be a part of it with us. I wanted the love we shared that day with our family and friends to extend to the little one who would be growing in my stomach. If luck was on our side and I was pregnant by the time of the ceremony, I just wanted Bette and me to know. I wanted it to be our little special part of the ceremony that only we would share together. I know it’s crazy but it means a lot to me and even more that she’s willing to help try to make it happen.

    8. We have 4 weeks left. I can’t wait. I love how Bette and Tina have opened themsleves up to each other. I also love how the parents have become important to both Bette and Tina. It is nice to see Bette asking Sam for advice and getting that advice. This is a wonderful beginning to a beautiful family.

    17. Fantastic chapter and so happy to see this post, I loved every word of it.You are doing such a wonderful job writing this story and everything is going so well. A new baby, a wedding, and adding on to the house all at the same time. But they have talked about it and will continue to do so it should be alright for them. Those kinds of things just tend to be a tad bit stressful.
