“I’m exhausted,” Tina closed her eyes and intertwined her fingers with those on Bette’s left hand. “We’ve been in bed for five hours, it’s probably time to get up anyway.”
“I’m certainly glad you were feeling better when you woke up this morning,” Bette said, looking over at Tina with a smile.
“Me too,” Tina grinned in return. “I’m also glad Shane offered to take Angie for the day.”
She brought Bette’s hand up to her mouth and kissed the back of it before placing it against her cheek.
“What time is it?” Bette asked.
Tina turned to glance at the bedside clock, but had to shield her eyes from the mid day sun in order to see what the numbers said.
“Three thirty,” she replied.
“Can you stay over tonight?” Bette asked.
“I’ll have to go home and get a few things,” Tina replied. “But yeah I think that can be arranged.”
“I’d like the chance to keep you up all night,” Bette said, leaning over to kiss Tina’s lips.
“We both have to work,” Tina reminded her.
“My first meeting is at eleven,” Bette said. “How about you?”
“On set by nine at the latest,” Tina replied. “You have to let me get some rest.”
“I promise you’ll have a good solid eight hours in bed,” Bette said solemnly.
“I think we’ve proved this afternoon that ‘in bed’ does not equal ‘rest’,” Tina said.
“If I make love to you tonight before we go to sleep, your rest will be of greater quality,” Bette argued gently.
“You’re seeming a bit insatiable today,” Tina commented. “I kinda like it…”
“I’ve been dreaming about you for months,” Bette admitted. “And it’s always a nice surprise when reality surpasses your expectations.”
“This afternoon has been so much…fun!” Tina said. “We may have had our droughts when we were together, but sex with you is always fun.”
“It turns me on to hear you react when you…when you…” Bette started but could not finish.
“When you make me come?” Tina prompted.
“Yeah, then,” Bette felt a bit of a flush rise in her cheeks.
“Why is it okay to fuck our brains out for hours on end, but we can’t seem to talk when we’re having problems?” Tina asked.

Loved the playful nature of this chapter.. the talking, the flirting, and the fact that Bette kept trying to go another round. Very much something I’d give anything to see on the show.

well for me, I like the sex BUT especially I like the closeness and the talking after…to answer your comment…this was especially excellent and the flirting is always fun…looking forward to the post 5.12; they too have been excellent but then I’m a fan of your writing.
Now that is the Bette and Tina that we are seeing on the screen and hopefully in season 6. The closeness, the conversations, and most of all the quality time spent together is what attracted most of the Tibette fans to them.

HEY JKS, What a wonderful, light and fluffy chapter. Good to have Bette and Tinaa completely comfortable with each other again. Everything that they have been through has brought them to this place. There was a edge os reality as Tina reminded Bette that they needs to be more open with each other. I do believe that Bette is aware of this but she now needs to prove it by letting Tina into her deepest and darkest moments. Letting soemone see the worse of you is one of the hardest things to do. Warts and all, is not always a pretty sight but it does show a level of committment that is difficult to break. Given Bette’s realtionship with her parents this is massive. I hope that Tina fully appreciated how much her lover is trying to change. of course, this is a two way street so I want Tina to call Bette on her poor judgement and keep this relationship balanced. Brilliantly entertaining and playful. Just loved it all. More please of your magical moments. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

I love their light, easy and playful conversation and I’m relieved Bette is finally figuring out that they can’t solve their issues by simply wishing them to go away.
