When new and old collide: Chapter 1

Jaime laid on the couch on her side looking out the living room window, watching the rain trickle down it while waiting for Tina to get to her apartment. As she lay there she is thinking about all of the things she wants to say to Tina when she walks through that door her mind is racing a million miles an hour.

Jaime (Thinking): What if she says no? What if she thinks that its too soon? What if? Tina loves me. She does, doesnt she? What the ***** am I saying, of course she does. Ok, now I am freaking out, this is crazy Im talking to myself now.

Jaime is a youth councilor at the youth center which Tina used to work at. Jaime and Tina have been together for nearly two years, and Jaime thinks its about time she asks Tina to move in with her; she wants to be able to see more of Tina, since Tina started back in her old position at Alpaville they hardly ever get to see each other and that has started to wear on both of them. If asking her to move in with her goes well, then she wants to ask Tina to marry her, after all they have a wonderful relationship and Jaime already thinks of Tinas three year old daughter Beth as hers as well.

BZZZ BZZZ

Jaime is startled by the doorbell at first and after shaking the thoughts out of her head she answers the door with a clear head and a big smile.

Jaime: Hey babe, I was just thinking about you!

Tina: Hi, you were? What thoughts were you thinking about me? she says in a flirtatious tone.

Jaime: Actually, I was thinking that maybe we could have a nice quiet dinner and then maybe have something sweet for dessert.

Tina: Oh, baby you know I wish we could but you know tonight is Friday night and we have to meet the girls at Alice and Danas house for our Friday night family dinner. Its like a permanent on the calendar. Did you forget?

Jaime: No, I did not forget I was just wanting some alone time. She says kind of annoyed. Ill go get ready; did you drop Bethy off at your sisters?
