Fuck that I am really not in the mood for this shit, like a woman on a mission she strode out of the kitchen determined that her night wouldn’t end up as bad as her day.
“Tina you have two choices here you can either…..” Bette was stopped short, Tina was sitting with her laptop on her knees.
“T…what’s wrong you look like you have just seen a ghost” Bette peered at Tina’s laptop as she joined her on the sofa.
Tina didn’t speak her eyes were fixed on her inbox. Bette scanned quickly through the countless e-mails but was still at a loss at Tina’s current state.
“Talk to me T…” Bette’s initial concern was steadily gaining momentum, still in silence Tina pointed to an unopened e-mail from an Edward Kinnard. This did nothing to lift Bette’s confusion over the blondes near catatonic state.
“I don’t understand….” As soon as the words left her lips the realisation who the e-mail was from hit her. “Is that…is that your fathers name”. Bette didn’t really need the slight nod of Tina’s head as way of confirmation but was relieved at the small attempt at communication from her girlfriend.
Bette is struggling to find the right words and is a little pleased when Tina passes her the laptop.
“Can you read it” Tina asks quietly.
Bette reaches for Tina’s hand and holds it tightly, taking a deep breath she opens the e-mail.
“Christina…..”
“No…stop…..I don’t want to hear what he has to say….I mean the man doesn’t even know no ones called me Christina since….since…..well never”
Bette sensed that Tina’s initial shock was quickly turning to anger, ignoring her own perked curiosity she closed the laptop and pulled Tina towards her.
“You want to talk” Not exactly what Bette had in mind for tonight giving the day she had, however she resigned to follow Tina’s lead.
“You hungry…..I’m famished….we should eat” Tina wriggled free once again and was heading towards the kitchen when the phone rang.
“Hey Dana…you’ll never guess who……” Tina began..
Bette sat somewhat surprised as she listened to Tina’s end of the conversation, obviously Tina did want to talk but not with her. Surprised escalated to completely dumbfounded when Tina picked the laptop and read Dana the contents of the email and continued with a lengthy discussion on the what’s, why’s, and when’s.

Excellent. Truly, truly excellent. Tina was a bit of an ass. She really should have given Bette the chance to say whether or not she wants kids. It’s not like EVERYTHING everyone says actually means something
