Jenny: Wait…
Dana: Yes?
Jenny: This is all confusing.
Dana: It can be at first. But then our past lives back on Earth were kind of the same way, you know? Here, it’s only confusing at first and there’s no sorrow here. So you’ll be okay. I was waiting for you.
Jenny: You were?
Dana: Yeah. Sucks about all that stuff at the end, but then the ending there always sucks.
Jenny: Yeah. Tell me about it…
Dana: I put in a good word for you so you could be here with me.
Jenny smiles.
Dana: I told them that even though things were crazy there near the end, you were still, deep down a good little Jewish girl in a lost world. So…
Dana shrugs, grinning.
Dana: …Here ya are.
Jenny: Wait…so…this is Jewish Heaven? I thought you were Christian.
Dana: Born and raised. But…who had it right between us or anyone else is kind of moot now. We’re both here and that’s all that matters.
Both smile at one another. They continue walking through the field of green, the tall trees surrounding them.
Jenny: Dana?
Dana: Yeah?
Jenny: Where are we going?
Dana: Remember that night we tried making out?
Jenny laughs.
Jenny: Yes.
Dana: Remember what we did afterwards?
Jenny: I remember we decided to just be friends.
Dana: Mm hm.
Jenny: And after that…we danced. That was probably the most fun I had.
Dana: Well…we have a dancefloor here. And I made sure to reserve a spot for us so we could have some fun like we did that night. Without the clumsy make out thing.
Jenny: Of course. Dancing would be good right now.
Dana: You think that’s something, wait ’til you see the band that’s playing. The best you’ll find, although for some of them, we had to grant exceptions for to get here.
Jenny: What do you mean?
Dana: Well…some were talented, but I guess not really good at life in other areas. So when they’re tabbed to play, they come up here and breathe a little easier for a while.
Jenny: I’m not on a grant, am I?
Dana: No, you’re here forever. But you’ll enjoy it. It’s a lot better than where you were before and much better than where others wind up.
They continue walking.
Jenny: Do you think my friends back on Earth hate me?
Dana: Nah. They all still love you. Even Al. And if need be, I’ll go down there and give her another good talking to.
Jenny stops in her tracks and shoots Dana an odd expression.
Jenny: Another?
Dana: Yeah. I get to tap into her consciousness from time to time. It’s how her and Tasha wound up together.
Jenny: Wow. …So you can actually do that?
Dana: Yep. Like I said, they like me.
The two friends walk into forever. Soon they will be dancing and revelling in their friendship.
