Bette reluctantly released her hold, grasping the blonde’s hands, she looked into Tina’s eyes, "you’re welcome" she smiled genuinely.  

"Umm, I’m just going to excuse myself for a moment… to freshen up…"

"Of course, the Ladies Room is right over there" Bette pointed in the direction of the restroom.  

"Did you run her off already?" Kit joked as she approached the table to refill their glasses.

Bette squinted, "Ha. Ha. She’s in the restroom…"

Nodding toward the identical plates, Kit asked, "So what else do you two have in common?"

Bette smirked, "Mere coincidence, right?"

"You tell me!" Kit grinned "Why don’t you invite her to the show Friday?

Once in the privacy of the restroom Tina stared at herself in the mirror ‘Okay, so she’s a woman… No big deal, right? A very successful, intelligent, beautiful woman… a woman… Breathe! In 2, 3, 4, out 2, 3, 4… Okay, maybe Dana is right, maybe I do have "it" in me? Does it even matter? She probably thinks I’m a lunatic! Okay… stop thinking, just go with the flow…’ After a few more cleansing breaths Tina splashed some water on her face, reapplied her lip gloss, and returned to the table and to the captivating brunette.  

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I’m fine… thank you for listening…"

"Think nothing of it… I’m glad I could be here for you"

‘She’s amazing’ Tina thought as she smiled and nodded shyly, lowering her gaze. 

They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, sharing fleeting looks and timid smiles.

 
"So, I’ll have James contact your studio and they can get all the details squared away…"Bette knew their lunch was coming to a close but she wasn’t ready to part without the chance of seeing Tina again "…when are you going back to L.A.?"

"My flight is scheduled for Sunday evening… I still have 5 days.  I need to check on my parents house… and spend some quality time with my best friend, Dana, she says I’ve abandoned her." Tina rolled her eyes and laughed. 

"How would you like to come to Kit’s show Friday night? You can bring your friend…"

Tina didn’t want to leave town without spending more time with the gorgeous brunette she quickly answered, "Yes! That sounds great. I’ll have to check with Dana of course… What time?"
