Chapter 4
Bette’s Arrival
Tina looked out her window as she heard a car pull into the
drive way. Watching intently as the brunette got out and made her way to the
front door. Just before she had a chance to knock the front door opened to
Tina’s smiling face.
“Bette come in I am so glad you made it.”
“Hey Tina.” Bette said pulling her into a gentle embrace.
“Angie was so excited this morning I had a hard time with
getting her off to school.”
“Oh so you push the kid out the door to go to school but you
play hooky from work. I see what kind of mom you are.” Bette said as she
chuckled at her own brand of humor.
“Yeah I guess you caught me. I’m guilty.” Tina replied with
a mischievous smile.
“Tina I just came by to let you know my new address for the
next 16 weeks. I got a great deal on a two bedroom place about a 20 minute
drive from here. I wondered if later this afternoon if you’re not busy would
you mind going shopping with me? I just wanted to get a few things she likes to
decorate Angie’s room with so she feels more comfortable when she is there.”
“Sure Bette I’ll go and I am certain Angie will like
anything you get her.”
“Well I was going to go by myself but I realized not only
did I not know what some of her favorite things were but I didn’t even know her
favorite color. So any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.”
“Bette I was about to make myself some lunch if you would
join me we could go after that.”
“If it’s not a problem I accept and look forward to it.”
As they ate their sandwiches Tina filled Bette in on things
Angie liked. She shared with Bette everything from her favorite toys and
favorite color to her favorite things to eat.
Two hours later Bette dropped Tina off at her house and
drove to her home for the summer. She spent the rest of the evening putting
away her things and the things she had bought for Angie. Tina had invited Bette
to dinner the next evening so she could spend some time with Angie in a
familiar environment. Bette had planned a picnic lunch and a round of miniature
golf for the three of them this weekend. They had decided it would be best if
Angie were to be eased into a relationship with Bette so any overnight stays
would be something planned for the future. But Bette was certain by the end of
the summer Angie would feel as comfortable staying with her as she now does
with Tina.

Wow that was fast
In the previous chapter I mentioned that I was impressed with Bette’s considerate and respectful demeanor towards Tina and Angie as she found her grounding in building the relationship with her daughter and eventually to work things out with Tina, but Tina making her claim on Bette in this manner and Bette’s subservience to Tina’s whims and control just changed everything for me. If the sex wasn’t just one of them having a fantasy then to me Angie’s well-being just took a back seat and her role has been diminished to bait and switch.”Well you do realize how long it’s been since you have been out on a date. We need to help you get your sexy on before she arrives.” Both Carol and Tina chuckled at Karen’s statement but Tina knew that there was some truth to it.” It’ll be interesting to see how Bette does on Kennard turf with no friends, no life-line, and Tina holding all the cards.

Somehow that didn´t seem right to me. I understand that that´s ultimately what Tina wants, but considering their past,and everything in between, I really don´t see it happening.
Damn, that was a bit fast for me. I knew they still loved each other but I was hoping they could hold off for a few weeks Bette was getting reacquainted with Angie. As much as I want them back togetherI wish they had waited a little bit, letting themselves warm to the idea of first, last, forever before making any big moves. Now that they have taken the big step, I hope this does not jepordize their future together. Great chapter. Thanks. More please.
Thanks for the posting! Wow! I’m all over the board with my thoughts and feelings. It was moving smoothly along through the evening with Angie getting to know Bette better when out of the blue, wham, bam, thank you Ma’am happened. I truly wasn’t expecting it, so now I’m not sure what to think. I know that its your story so I will let you do what you do best. Maybe its just that some time has passed and both women are sitting in such a different place than before as they’ve both matured a bit, I hope. At least I know that Bette’s character has with all that she’s experienced and with her counseling. Having only Shane there for her as family, especially with Bette’s thoughts on how much she doesn’t let others in so deeply any more makes me wonder how what happened happened. All I can say is that Bette still deeply loves Tina even through all the hurt and knowing that Tina is the only one who truly has her heart, maybe she went with that part of her heart that she trusts most. We have to trust Bette in this moment that she did for herself what she needed to. Hopefully this is a new beginning for them and they will seek some counseling to assist them in moving forward together. Family counseling here would help as Angie needs to be a part of it as well. Argh! I just don’t know as it all came on so fast… I’m trusting you, I’m trusting you as you know what’s in your head. Can’t wait for next post…

Thank you for not messing things up. It will be very interesting to see what life could be to a more alpha Tina and a softer Bette. As some of the commets said: It was rather fast but I would say that perfectly fits with the new alpha side of Tina. Since they both are more open to talk about their feelings and both are much more experienced in the ways of life, they should have a good chance rebuild their relationship on a new, advanced level. They will allways have in mind that they have to care about angie and her wellbeing too. This will keep them from messing things up so easy, as they did before. Respecting your partner is one of the basics in a relationship and they both do respect each other as far as we can say now, especially as they both have learned to see their own weaknesses and deal with them, instead of acting them out on the partner. Hope to see an update soon.

Nooooooooooooo…i didnt want bette to take tina back so quick or even at all…it should be only about angie and it seems that Tina always get what she wants and that bothers me…whenever she wants bette she gets her despite the hurt she inflicts on bette…but who am i kidding tibette for life right lol
