    Twisted Triangles

    Twisted Triangle. Ch. 1

Hey, wheres Alice? Bette asked to no one in particular.

Here I am. Porter, whats with all the boxes? Half of them are marked suits. Gala Suits, Party Suits, Business Suits. OH Look Stick Up your ***** Suits good one. Thats a keeper.

Ha ha, smart *****. I dont know Al theyre kind of like my Days of the Week Underwear. Anyway, this isnt everything. I dont see my Jill Sanders box. Where are Tina and Grace?

Next door I believe with your precious JS box.
Ok, ok. Bette begins to pace nervously around the house. Her brow is creased as she is thinking about her second life changing decision in a little over a year. Alice notices her pensive friend and grabs her the shoulders mid-stride.

Whoa, girl. Stop. Sit. Whats wrong?

Nothing. She replied, barely looking up.

Porter, lying to me has never been one of your strong suits. Cmon talk to me. Whats up?

What? Its nothing really. I guess moving makes me nervous. You should have seen me in Philly. Total nut case. The caramel beauty did her best to apply her most confident smile.

Alice just arched an eyebrow. Dont make me call Kit.

Al, please. Bette pleaded with her big brown eyes.

Is it Tina? Is living with her going to be too hard?

Bette scoffed. Please, Tina is the least of my problems, believe me. She says while chewing her bottom lip. To Alice this was always a signal that there was more to that statement. But she also knew her well enough not to push.

Sweetie, breathe ok. Im gonna go next door and see what the stooges are up to. She leaves her to gather her thoughts.

A few minutes of silence passed before Bettes thoughts were interrupted by the familiar sound of arguing. Shane was the first to come through the door carrying Bettes Jill Sanders box.

B, I think you better get out there. Tina and Grace are going at it pretty good out there.

Bette sighed loudly. Just let them go. Theyll quiet down after a while. Just ignore them.

How are you going to live with that, day in and day out?
