She hugged me tight and whispered. “You were very brave. And I’m as ready as you are. Ok? We’re here for each other. I’m right here.”
“Please don’t go away after I do this Bette.”
“I won’t I swear.” With that she let me go and turned to Grace, hugging her briefly. “Take care of her Grace. With that she got into her Saab and sped off.
Chapter 20: Bette
Bette’s Place
I think wow would be an understatement. First Kit calls me today to say she’s in town and wants to meet me. And now this. *****, maybe I should cancel with Kit. She’ll understand. Not the impeding disaster, but the chaos that’ll follow. Yeah she’ll understand the chaos part.
Finally home. I can’t stop wringing my hands. Ok breathe Porter, breathe. If Tina’s scared shitless, but ready, then I’ll have to be. I guess. ***** I wonder where we’ll go. After, I mean. I’m fairly certain noone’s going to want us around. Alright her goes nothing. Good thing I called ahead so they should be ready by now.
“Bette, oh my God is she ok?”
“Whoa Al, you want to let in the house first?”
“Here give me that. Sit talk.” Alice says grabbing my bag and unceremoniously throwing it on the couch.
“She’s ok. A little freaked out, but it was harsh you know.” that’s all the information she’s getting from me.
“Well what happened with her sister to make her do that?”
“Do what?” Then Alice pointed to my rumpled suit jacket and the left over dried mascara that accompanied it.
“I don’t know exactly, but she seemed pretty determined to forget this night, so we should support her on that.”
“Wow, you must really taken a shine to our hot little neighbor to forget that tomorrow is a work day.” A ‘shine’ would be another understatement.
“Something like that. Is Eric here?”
“Yeah, he’s just putting on his ‘Sunday Best’ and practicing his best ‘listening face’ I would imagine. You know what this night would mean for he and Tina. The sympathy points alone.”
“Al. Enough, ok? I just need a few minutes and I’ll be ready.”
“oh, ok. So I called Shane and she called Dana. They should be here in a few. That good enough for you? Who knew that one incident with a sibling would whip up such a frenzy.”

Good thing Grace stopped that message.. I hope that neither Bette nor Tina chicken out on spilling the truth because they can’t go in living a lie. If they do, Eric will end up with Tina and Bette with Grace, but then again that’s how it all started isn’t it? Can’t wait to see what happens and I’m looking foward to that dirty dancing lol Please post soon!

k honey. you said in your notes. bette is not nor ever will be a pussy. so im holding ya to it. and you best have understood what i meant since it was about not breaking her heart after she comes clean. i enjoyed kit. can love both but wants her to follow her heart anywho cuz in the end its best for all concerned to be honest. well put up another one. this was great.
Ok, what drama happens to not let Tina & Bette together? Cuz like I said earlier…I re-read all the chapters and I know the out come….I have knots in my stomach waiting for this!!
