Chapter 5- Alex and Alice?

Tonight was it, Alex sat in her room at her foster home. Tonight, she was officially going to move in with her Madre and Shane. The best thing was, she got her own room! Shane even brought her out shopping the one night, while Carmen was at work. They bought everything from new clothes, to new furniture, to a basketball net! This was the life she thought. It was amazing; she had never before felt so loved. Not even with Jessica. She had her won room! She NEVER had had her own room before. She not only had her own room, she had it the color she wanted. The doorbell rang and she soon heard Shane’s voice echo from the front entrance. She was FINALLY going home. She smiled wide and grabbed her back pack while walking out to the room. Shane greeted her with a smile and a HUGE hug.

Shane: Hey, you ready to go?

Alex: Yes.

She turned to her foster parents.

Alex: Thanks for everything.

They just nodded and Shane turned on her heels after saying goodbye. The second the door shut, she was greeted by Alex jumping onto her back. She chuckled and grabbed the teen’s ankles.

Shane: Hope you’re not too tired.

Alex: Are you kidding me? I feel like I’m on the biggest caffeine rush ever!

Shane: Good, because your Madre’s spinning at The Planet tonight. She wanted us to stop by after we put up the basketball net.

Alex: Isn’t The Planet pretty much a club at night?

Shane: Yeah, we’ve already run it by Kit. We promised that you’d not have a drop to drink.

Alex: Cool.

Shane unlocked the car and Alex got off her back and into the car. Shane got into the driver’s seat. She started the car and pulled out of the driveway.

Shane: So, anything new?

Alex: Not really, same old thing, Jess and I still in fight after fight, then make-up sex after make-up sex.

Shane: I see. When do I get to meet this Jessica chick?

Alex: Well, I don’t know.

Shane: Do you think she’d like to spend the night tomorrow?
