previously on Snappy world …

As they left, Snappy eyes settled on the assorted vegetables that had been thrown into her cage. She delicately chose a crisp cabbage leaf and with contentment proceeded to devour it.

 “Wow, fancy looking clinic Helena. Sure you can afford the visit?” Alice joked as she made a quick turn into the only remaining parking spot near by and stopped suddenly. Just beating out and cutting off another vehicle that had long indicated it was turning to take the spot. It’s driver had played safe, waiting on other traffic to go past first.

Helena smiled apologetically at the people in the car and waved using her damaged hand to the now irate driver who gave her the bird in return. The way Alice had wrapped her damaged digit gave every indication that Helena, herself, had given them the bird first.

“How rude!” Alice exclaimed getting out the car to give them a royal salute in her own stead. “Fuckers!” She screamed at them while running around to Helena’s side of the car to open the door. Pausing to hand her out in a chivalrous manner. “Me lady.”

“Err, thanks Alice.” Helena contemplated the fact that associating with Alice would never be boring and commented sarcastically: “I am most over joyed that you were able to get us here, so fast and in one piece.”

“T’was my pleasure. I assure you Your Ladyship!” Alice grinned and bowed when Helena played along, ignoring the sarcasm, maintained her knight errant pose in a foppish fashion.

“I take it you are feeling better?” After finding Alice so down and noticing the slightly manic affects that her medication had brought on.

“Much. You?” Alice waving to Helena’s wrapped hand before skipping forward to open and hold the door, realising it was automatic with a shrug, but decided to maintain the chivalrous facade.

“Throbbing but I will live.” Helena smiled despite her blood soaked make do bandage and now throbbing finger, wondering with curiosity how the tables had turned. Oh yes, Snappy the turtle was the levelling factor. Helena was now being treated as the damsel in distress when it had been her rescuing Alice from her dragon of a turtle at the start of this adventure.
