    Through Her Eyes

Here I am, once again watching them like I’ve been doing for the last 4 months. We’re all in the same room, but I feel invisible, and I know that they don’t feel my presence when they speak to one another, laugh together on their inside jokes, or just simply look at each other.

Sometimes I wonder, why am I here? What am I still doing in this room alone, left with no one but myself to face my loneliness? I’m not ignored me, they try to include me in their talk but I can’t hear them, I’m not speaking literally only, I just can’t focus on what they are saying when my mind is thinking of one thing only, how to escape this place that I find myself in every time I watch how their eyes shine when they meet, the a secret smiles that they reserve for one another only, I wonder if they are aware of these things as much as I am.

I never felt left out as much as I do now. Never in my life I felt unwanted or rejected the way that I do now. I never even cared if I was. But now, at this moment, I do. Is it because right in front of me is a beautiful image of love and I’m not part of it? Or is it that these two are much better of a team in painting a picture of lovers in deep amour than I’ll ever be?

"Jodi?" She’s calling my name, though I can’t hear her, I do know that she is. As I turn my head to look at her, I contemplate wither it will be a good idea to excuse myself and leave before I cause myself more pain by watching another woman being the reason behind my girlfriend’s current smile.

"Jodi, are you alright?" Asks the woman who’s been nothing but supportive of our relationship and welcoming of me. I don’t know how she does it, though her love for Bette is as clear as the sky can be on a sunny Californian day; she still keeps her cool and is very grounded. I even feel guilty every time jealousy rears its head because I know that if Tina was the kind I would be threatened by, she wouldn’t be here at our place drinking tea and being part of the family.

    4. Too bad you will not continue with this but it was wonderful to read. And yes they do need to talk because Tina still loves Bette and in my heart I know Bette still loves Tina.
