“Thank you for discussing it with me Bette. The way you describe it does sound ideal but we do need to check out a lot of the things you mentioned and maybe even some we haven’t thought of before we make a final decision.”

“That’s fair. We’ll take all the time we need to be sure. Even if we decide against making the move, it’s still a great investment property and we could lease out the space.”

“Would you be happy with that?”

“I’m just throwing out ideas Tee. Ultimately I just want to do what’s best for our family. That’s my main priority. Let’s sleep on it for a few days. I’ll schedule an appointment with the lawyer for some time next week to talk through it some more OK?”

“OK, and speaking of sleeping? What are we going to do in the immediate future?”

“Regardless of what we decide nothing will likely change for at least 6 months to a year so why don’t we plan on you and Angie moving in with me for now. You can do a short term or month to month lease on your condo and then we go from there.”

“That sounds like a good interim plan.” Tina agreed.

“You know come to think of it. Leigh Ostin mentioned that she is staying with a friend temporarily. She’ll need her own place once she finds a job.”

“Are you going to hire her for the position at CU?”

“I think she stands a good chance but it’s not my sole decision. I made my recommendation and I spoke to the team. Of the three candidates she really stands out; everyone agrees. I only mention it because maybe she would be interested in leasing your place for a few months? Would that be weird for you?”

“No. I don’t think it would be weird. I mean you guys are obviously friends. I imagine she’ll be hanging out with the gang sometimes. As long as she knows you’re off limits I think we’ll get along just fine.”

“Tee I think you branded me last night and this morning. No one will doubt who I belong to.”

Bette teases Tina and pulls her in for a searing kiss as she lays her down on the blanket.

“You better believe it. Are you ready to head back to the cabin so I can continue to leave my mark on you or should I just take you right here?”

“Take it easy tiger. We can head back in a little while. I want to take some pictures first.”

Bette took several shots of Tina posing against the beautiful backdrop that nature provided. They set the self-timer on the camera and got a few pictures of them together then Tina took a few of Bette. When they got back to the cabin they prepared lunch using some of the left over cold cuts, cheeses and fruit from the night before. They took the tray out to the deck and decided to relax in the hot tub after they ate.
