    Dana: Al, what’s wrong? Alice: Aidan… He said… Lara… Erm… Alice couldn’t speak, the tears were coming down a lot faster now and Dana was angry. What the fuck was he doing here, and why was Alice mentioning Lara? Dana looked at Aidan and demanded an explanation. The whole time he explained, she held Alice’s

    Dana: Al, what’s wrong?

    Alice: Aidan… He said… Lara… Erm…

    Alice couldn’t speak, the tears were coming down a lot faster now and Dana was angry. What the fuck was he doing here, and why was Alice mentioning Lara? Dana looked at Aidan and demanded an explanation. The whole time he explained, she held Alice’s hand and stroked every one of Alice’s knuckles in an attempt to comfort her. Once he finished, Dana was livid, but the look on Shanes face said it all. Shane wasn’t happy at all. If Lara wanted blood, then so did she. Dana got up from her chair and walked over to Shane. She bent down and lifted Shane up into her arms, where Shane practically collapsed into them. She was upset, but most of all she was angry. Her two best friends were finally happy and in love, but someone wanted to ruin that. When they finally broke away, Shane turned her attention to Aidan. Dana made her way back to Alice’s right side, but instead of sitting in the chair, she lifted Alice slightly and made more room on the bed. Dana’s bed was still in the room, but that wasn’t close enough to Alice. She heard Alice groan in pain as she was lifted, but knew why Dana was doing it. As soon as there was room, Dana climbed onto the bed and wrapped her arms around Alice. Alice couldn’t turn properly to cuddle into Dana, so she just turned her head to the right slightly so that her face was buried in Danas shoulder. Immediately, she felt much safer, just being wrapped in Danas arms. She heard Dana sigh as she turned her head and Dana leaned down a little to whisper into Alice’s ear.

    Dana: I’m not going anywhere, okay? I’m right here, baby.

    Alice: I know. I love you so much, Dana.

    Dana: I love you too. I’m going to take care of you, I promise.

    This was the first time Dana had called Alice baby, and it felt so natural to them both. Dana felt Alice nod against her shoulder, before falling asleep. Shane and Aidan were still talking at the other end of the room and Dana looked over at them. After around 5 minutes, Alice was still sleeping in Danas arms, but Dana wasn’t in the least bit tired. She looked over at Aidan and simply said:

    Dana: So, Aidan, what are YOU going to do about Lara?
