‘I think we should go. We don’t want to be late, do we?’
‘No of course not’ Alice was surprised by Danas abrupt stop but didn’t think about it much.
They drove to Bette and Tina in silence. When they parked the car in front of the house they turned to each other. Alice was the first to speak.
‘Ready for the inquisition?’
‘I guess…are you ready?’
‘I hope so…lets just go in. I mean they are our friends. They will be happy for us..’
Meanwhile
Shane walked in from the backyard and went in the livingroom to sit on the couch while they wait for Alice, Dana and Kit. Before she could sit down she saw Alice and Dana walking hand in hand up to the house. She waited behind the door but after nearly 5 minutes there was still no knock so she just opened it. She tried to stiffle her laugh when she saw the look of horror on their faces as she catched them kissing. Suddenly Alice said
‘Found her!’ her and Danas faces showing a few different shades of red.
‘Well well…I thought you two would never get together. Come in…I’m sure Bette and Tina will be happy for you too.’
They got in and were greeted by Bette and Tina after a moment. They hugged and smiled.
‘So are you guys together now?’ Tina asked
Alice and Dana looked at each other with a huge grin on their faces and said in unison
‘YES!’
‘Wow that’s great. Now we have two couples. There is only Shane…so Shane when will you show us your hidden girlfriend? Maybe you get Carmen to forgive you!’
‘There is nothing I have to apologize for. I told her that I don’t do relationships. Anyway…I am really happy for all of you. That gives me hope that two people who are destined to be together can find each other.’
‘But what if you found that one in Carmen? Who knows…maybe fate will bring you two together again…’ Bette said and felt Tinas elbow hit her ribs.
‘Yeah maybe…’ Shane looked suspicious at them.
‘So I’m starving. Where is the food?’ Alice said
‘Yes guys…she is really hungry! She tried to eat Dana alive a few minutes ago.’ Shane said

This is a fun story. I wonder what Shane will do when she sees Carmen at dinner. Tina has every right to be annoyed with Bette. I like that line “I’m your partner, not your employee”… ouch!!! I think that Alice may find out that Dana has never slept with anyone. Great chapter.
Tina and Bette…wouldn’t be a real relationship if they didn’t have their harsh moments. As for Al and Dana…maybe Danes just scared to take that ultimate step from friend to lover: what if she loses both???? I have a friend like that & chose to remain friends. I’m so glad I did several years later.
Next you’ll try to sell me a dishwasher, that is funny, I laughed right out loud. Why is Tina being so cranky, dosen’t she like to be desired?Thank you, Md
Ok Tibette both over reacted somewhat. Shane’s dishwasher comment funny and is it Dana’s first?? WOW
You are doing a great job with all the different couple’s storylines. Alice and Dana are so cute in their tentative relationship steps. Making the leap from friend to girlfriend can be tough. Alice might be Dana’s first? Wow. That is a lot of pressure on top of them having been friends for so long. Hopefully Alice gives her the time and support she needs. Bette was out-of-line, but, Tina was a bit harsh after Bette tried to apologize. They need to take a few moments and have a real conversation. And good for you to help out your friend! I know that I will wait patiently for when you have time for another post. Thanks for another great chapter, jay wild!!
I get Tina’s point about not being an employee, but she should enjoy the fact that her partner can’t get enough of her! Lighten up a little and don’t wait till morning to talk, it’s never good to go to bed angry! PPS
