Bette just sat there looking at Angelica, wanting to know why Tina went home that morning but something told her not to ask.

Kit walked in the room closely followed by the rest of their friends.

“Guys do you need anything?”

Both Tina and Bette looked at them shaking there heads.

“In that case I need to get going back to the planet but I’ll be back later on with some food for you both ok, but if anything changes call me”

“Guys we’ve got to go as well” said Al

Tina and Bette both got up, giving each of them a hug and telling them that they would call if there was any change.

They both walked back and sat down.

Tina looked at Bette and said “Bette I’m Sorry”

“For what T?”

“I should’ve taken her with me to the bedroom not put her in the pen, maybe then this wouldn’t have happened”

Bette walked over to Tina getting her arms she dragged her to her feet, putting her arms around her. “T this wasn’t your fault, it could have happened at anytime anywhere, it was an accident they do happen from time to time, I’m not blaming you so don’t blame yourself. Besides we don’t know if it was then that she hurt herself it could have been with the child minder. Angie is going to get better I just know it, we have to stay strong, your not on your own I’m here for Angie and you”

Tina hugged Bette harder so that she was closer to her body, she didn’t want to let go, she lifted her head and looked into Bette’s eyes. At that moment all she wanted to do was kiss those familiar lips to feel the passion and desire that there used to be between them, but she managed to hold back the urge reminding herself that now was not the time or the place, she felt better than she did a few moments ago. She needed the close contact with Bette to get her resolve back.

As Bette hugged Tina she was also looking at her daughter lying in the hospital bed, it was just like Tina to blame herself for the accident but had it happened while she was looking after Angie she would be doing the same.

She felt Tina holding her closer, she rested her chin on Tina’s shoulder taking in a deep breath of her scent, her stomach was going crazy because of the close contact. Her hand that was resting on the small of her back, tried to make it’s way to Tina’s bum. Bette caught herself and stopped her hand from moving. Bette lifted her head her mind was running on overdrive thinking what the hell was she doing, she wasn’t with Tina in that way anymore, she was with Jodi, why did she want to put her hand there. She felt Tina lift her head looking at her she tried to appear as if everything was fine but when she looked into Tina’s eye’s she could have sworn that she saw desire in them but then it was gone.

She made her way back to the side of the bed sitting down she felt confused why did she think that she had seen desire in Tina’s eye’s, she was the one that had helped her with Jodi, if Tina had wanted to get back with her then why help in getting them back together by writing that e-mail and then suggesting that she follow it up with a big romantic gesture it just didn’t make sense.
