The Mythical Season 3.5 – “Episode 13: Broken Arrow”

Helena: Get in my car and rest…I’m taking you home.

They get in Helena’s car and Helena pulls out of the parking lot.  Both are exhausted and save their words for the time being.  Back in Leigh’s apartment, Leigh undresses and prepares her shower.  Her nude body steps into the shower, but the water coming down doesn’t cleanse completely…it only cleanses the flesh.  Her eyes closed, Leigh rests her head against the wall, her mind filled with thoughts of confusion and delayed lust.

Dax enters her apartment.  She sees her roommate, Lacey passed out on the couch and Robin sitting on the couch, looking over her and holding her.  Robin looks up.

Robin: She had a little much tonight.

    Dax: Damn.

Robin: What are you doing back already?  A little early, isn’t it?

    Robin smirks.

Dax: The more beautiful they are, the more fucked up they seem to be, man.  I got a feelin’ things’ll be better tomorrow, though.

Robin: Ever the optimist.  Too bad you can’t share some of that with Lacey here.  She could use it.

Dax walks over to the couch and crouches down, taking in the alcoholic breath of Lacey’s.

    Dax: She’s been crying.

Robin: Yeah….she was a little emotional there before she conked out on me.

Dax: Well…at least she fell into the arms of someone trustworthy.

Dax looks up at Robin, who grins in appreciation.  Dax kisses Lacey on the forehead.

Dax: It’s gonna get better, I promise.

Dax stands back up and begins walking towards Lacey’s bedroom.

Dax: You stayin’ with her on the couch tonight?

Robin: Most likely.  I’m too tired to move.

    Robin gives a soft laughter.

Dax: Alright, I’ll get ya both some cover.

    Robin: Thanks.

Dax, Lacey and Robin all stay together and it’s been a unique relationship as all three felt the need for some kind of companionship.  They’ve become each others’ strongest support.  Tonight is no different.

Support is something that’s sought after by just about everyone tonight, though for Jenny and Marina it’s a little different.  For what seems an eternity, they’ve laid in bed together in Marina’s hotel suite without a single word being uttered.  They stare at each other, each waiting for the other to speak.  The initial comfort is overtaken by discomfort for Jenny.  She rolls herself off the bed, standing on the floor.

    1. I love your take on this terrible season that just finished. I would like to request that you become the creator of the New L word. In this show there is love and the drama is the daily lives of the gang. Not some crap that the original creator thought was entertaining. Entertaining for who, that is what I would like to know.

    2. Kace that was SUPER! So great that Helena gave Carmen that heart to heart, she needed it. Shane & Carmen back together & talking things over, YAY! I do wonder, how Dax, Robin & Lacey will fit in your story? Love the update.

    3. I love this story and has been following since the very beginning. But. Carmen forgave Shane too fast no? I love reading about Carmen’s kinkiness.

    4. Great update, keep it up! Sharmen may be on the repair, yay…and more Lara & Alice action please;) Looking forward to your next chapter! Thanks!
