    The Love I Left Behind ( Chapter One)

     

    Bette: mmmmmmmmm………………good morning baby

    Jennifer: Good morning to you too sweetheart

    Jennifer: Looks like we have some time before Angie wakes up.

    Bette: Yeah it looks like we do, but I have to take her to be with Tina today.

    Jennifer makes an unhappy face and rolls her eyes.

    This makes Bette laugh.

    Jennifer: You know how I hate that name.

    Bette smiles at Jennifers comment and wonders what Tina is doing.

    AT Tina and Henrys house

    Tina is in the kitchen making breakfast and doing what she seems to find herself doing a lot in the past few weeks……….thinking about Bette.

    Henry is standing in the doorway of the kitchen watching Tina as she looked off into space. He knows that she is thinking about Bette. For the past few nights Henry has laid awake and listened to Tina call out Bettes name in her sleep. He would lay there feeling hopeless and pissed off because he knew that there was nothing that he could do about her feelings. Henry didnt know what to do. So he deiced to break Tinas trance.

    Henry: Hey baby, what smells so good?

    Tina: (Jumps) OH! hey baby, Im just making some breakfast. I didnt know that you were awake.

    Henry: Yeah, I just woke up and you were gone so I came to find you.

    Tina: Oh, Im not going anywhere. So you dont have to worry.

    Henry knows that she is not telling the truth because Tina has been gone for weeks. He just lets it go and tries to focus on something else.

    Henry: What time is Angie coming?

    Tina: I dont know. I should call Bette.

    At the doctors office

    Carmen: Shane sit down your making me nervous.

    Carmen is laying on the table in the ultrasound room and watching Shane walk back and forth. Shane couldnt help it. She was nervous to find out what the sex of their baby was. Shane was also nervous about being a mom. She had been talking to Bette and watching her with Angie. But Shane still thinks that she will not be a good mom to her and Carmens child.

    Shane: Okay Ill sit down. Im just a little nervous about everything.

    Carmen: awwwwwwww baby there is nothing to worry about. The baby will be fine and you will be a good mother.

    Carmen smiles at Shane. Shane gives her the how did you know what Im thinking look.

    Carmen: I heard you talking to Bette on the phone last night.

    Shane: Oh, I dont know what Im thinking. Im just scared and I dont know what to do.

    Carmen: (laughs) Your not going to leave me again are you?

    Shane frowns at Carmens playful comment.

    Shane: Carmen thats not funny. I have told you time and time again that I am for that  

    Carmen: I know that and I was just joking with you. Im just trying to get you to calm down.

    Shane: Well that is not going to help me.

    DR. Davis: Hey ladies are you ready to get started?

    Carmen: We are as ready as we are going to be. Right Shane?!

    Carmen looks at Shane with a questionable look.

    Shane: Yeah Im ready.

    Alices apartment

    Lara: Hey Alice come taste this.

    Alice: Okay here I come. Just give me a second.

    Lara stands in the kitchen waiting for Alice. She stares at Danas picture that is hanging in the kitchen. There are pictures of Dana hanging everywhere. Lara thinks back to all the good times she had with Dana. Alice comes in and sees Lara looking at the picture.

    Alice: So what is it that you want me to taste?

    Lara turns around quickly not knowing that Alice was even in the room.

    Lara: Its a new cake that I am trying out for Helenas wedding and I need your opinion.

    Alice: Okay lay it on me.

    Lara: I still cant believe that Helena is getting married.

    Alice: I know it is still a shock to me too but I am happy that she found Ariel.

    Lara puts a piece of cake into Alices mouth.

    Alice: Oh My God Lara that is good!

    1. Keep it coming… its just what we need. A reunited Carmen and Shane, in a good place with a baby on the way. A Bette who’s better and no so wounded and has moved on with her life. A remoseful Tina. Alice and Lara healed after Dana’s death. Give us more good news. Thanks.
