The L Word: Tina Kennard’s lost background
“Boo, what happened…?” Bette asked Angie, getting closer. Angie giggled pointing behind the counter.
Both women walked slowly in direction of the counter, timidly looking behind. Tina gasped, and they exchanged glances.
“It’s impossible…” Tina whispered
“T…I thing after these few days…there isn’t impossible things…did you read something out of the book?” Bette asked, raising an eyebrow. Tina squirms, making apologizing face…
“Yes…I’m sorry I was curious…” Tina said, scratching her neck.
“The curiosity killed the cat…” Bette said
“We don’t have a cat…” Tina said, earning deadly look from Bette…
“What we’re gonna do with this…? Tina asked, pointing to the little creature, crouched behind the counter.
“We…you “called” him…it’s yours now….” Bette said, putting her hands on her hips.
The little creature heard their voices and lifts his head. Bette and Tina looked at him, stepping few steps back…
“Babe you were right…” Tina said looking at Bette. Bette gave her quizzed look…”He does have a funny face…”
The little creature rose from the ground, looking up to both of them.
“So…you’re the young master Kennard…” He said with squealing voice, looking now at Tina.
“I’m not commenting his voice…” Bette whispered, Tina nudged her in her side.
“Yeah, that’s probably me…and who the hell are you…” Tina said, titling her head aside.
“I’m Jinks…your personal elf…” Jinks said bowing.
“There’s thing like personal elf?” Bette whispered to the speechless Tina.
“What are you doing here? You have to go back from wherever you came from…” Tina said
“I can’t…you called me, now you have to find the way to bring me back…” Jinks said walking next to the table, and making effort to sit on one of the chairs. His little legs weren’t enough long, so he was straggling to climb it.
“T…I think your little friend over there is having troubles with our chair….” Bette said. Tina exhaled and walked near him. After Jinks was settled on the chair, he took off his hat. Angie was watching in amusement the little guy. She waives him, saying hi. Jinks smiled back, clapping with his hands and in front of the little girl appeared big bow with ice-cream.
“Ice-creammm” Angie yelled in delight, but Tina rushed and took the bowl away. Angie fussed crossing her little arms in front of her.
