“Stop complaining and do something about it.” Helena looked at Tina. “My God—you’re becoming a chronic complainer.” Helena rolled her eyes and shook her head.

“Whatever,” she took a drink of her beer and walked away. Tina sighed and continued to look around.

“Hello stranger.” Tina looked to her right and saw Angelina.

“Hi,” she smiled softly.

“Are you enjoying yourself?” Angelina stood next to Tina.

“Yeah—a little. I’m just watching my friends have a great time.” Tina looked at her. “How about you?”

“My friends are going nuts, so I had to walk away.” Tina laughed softly, and Angelina ran her eyes over Tina’s body. “Do you want to get out of here? Walk the deck maybe.”

“Sure—I would like that.” Angelina smiled and held out her hand. Tina grabbed it and walked away from the counter.

‘I’m going to get something to drink.” Carmen pulled away from Shane and walked away. The woman approached Shane and tapped her on the shoulder. Shane turned around and smiled.

“Hey.”

The woman leaned over. “Hi, are you having a great time?”

“Yeah—I saw you watching me from over in the counter.” The woman smiled.

“What can I say? You’re fuckin’ hot!” Carmen told the bartender what she wanted to drink and turned around. She saw Shane and a brunette talking on the floor. She took a deep breath and continued to watch.

“So are you here with someone?” Shane nodded.

“I’m here with a few friends and her.” She pointed at the bar at Carmen. The woman saw the Latina in the booty shorts and nodded.

“The one in the shorts.” She nodded.

“Yeah—she’s my ex.”

“So are you two trying to get back together or what?” Shane looked at the woman.

“We’re working on it.” The woman smiled.

“It was nice to meet you,” she touched Shane’s arm and walked away. Carmen walked back onto the floor with two beers in hand.

“What was that all about?” She handed a beer to Shane.

“We were just talking.” She took a drink of her beer. “She was attracted to me, but I told her about you and that was that.”
