    Author Notes:

    “You’ll go where I take you,” Tina chuckled, walking out the door and closing it behind herself.

     

    Bette came into work letting out a deep sigh at her fatigue. She was exhausted from fussing over Tina all of yesterday. She made her way down the hall and into her office mindlessly, putting her things down at her desk and falling into her chair. After a few minutes of relaxation, she got to work.

    It had only been a few hours when she heard a familiar voice from down the hall. It was muffled through the door, so she slowly got up and walked over, opening the door with surprise.

    She watched Tina dressed to kill in a power suit, walking down the hall and speaking sternly with someone. When she turned in the other direction, she saw Monica and James turning towards her. ‘Oh shit …’

    "Monica Campbell," Tina started, quickly making her way to the girl, "I want to hear about this little … incident."

    James smirked and Monica swatted his arm.

    Tina shook her head at their exchange, looking over to James and speaking quietly. "And how did you find out about this?"

    "I … uh …" he stuttered, trying to tell his story, "Bette said about the jacket and it matched your pants, and I … I put it together and-"

    "I believe you," Tina said, reaching her hand out in front of her before turning to Monica. "Come with me please."

    Bette’s eyes widened, and she tried to hide her smile. She shook her head gently at James who shrugged as Tina and Monica walked away. Bette backed into the office, followed shortly by the two girls.

    Tina closed the door behind her and caught Bette’s eye.

    "What are you doing here?" Bette asked with concern. "Aren’t you still sick?"

    "I’m fine," Tina sighed, "I wanted to speak with Monica."

    Monica looked worriedly between the two women in front of her. Bette was surprised with how stern she was being with her.

    "Okay," Tina breathed, crossing her arms, "When did you see us together, and what did you see?"

    Bette’s eyes widened again. ‘I’m not sure I want to hear her say that,’ she smiled to herself, catching a look Tina shot at her, ‘Okay, how does she read my thoughts like that?!’

    "I umm … I sort of walked in on something," Monica mumbled, reaching her hand up to her neck and looking to the ground.
