    The Gathering 01.03 – Living
    It Up

     

                “So what is all of
    this about?”      Dana
    asked as they all gathered in the back room of the Planet.  Radar had been pushed back to another night;
    tonight the Planet was all theirs. 
    Everyone was there, Alice, Dana,
    Marina, Kit, Ivan,
    Tina, Jenny, Robin.  Only Shane was
    missing and they were waiting for her.  MarinaBette, but she’d declined, stated
    that Tina wasn’t ready to be in a social setting
    with her.

                “We’ll tell you when Shane  Kit
    said serving the drinks as the music played softly in the background.  Ivan smiled at
    her, feeling rather proud of how Kit was doing
    in the last month or so.

                “Well she wasn’t home
    when I was there.  Did anyone here know
    she was such a slob?  I have to pick up
    all of her clothes and her dishes.”      Dana
    complained, sipping her drink.

     

                “She can’t be that bad
    she barely had any clothes.”      Tina
    quipped throwing an arm over Dana‘s slender
    shoulders.

     

                “We are just so
    totally different.”  Sighed     Dana
    and then she let the subject drop. 

     

                “I should have invited
    Sam.”  Alice
    said from the other side of the bar with afterthought in her voice.  She’d been trying to include her friend in as
    many social outings as possible, but the young Doctor’s schedule was
    grueling. 

     

                “Why don’t you call
    her?”      Marina
    invited sliding the cordless phone over to Alice.  Alice
    nodded and dialed the number walking out of earshot of the group.

     

                “You’d think they were
    dating.”      Dana
    said with a rueful tone Jenny‘s eyebrows shot
    up, asking the obvious.

     

                “A little
    jealous?”      Dana‘s
    eyes darted left and right, and then made a face of disgust.

     

                “No.  She’s just the one that kissed me a few weeks
    back, and now she’s the one acting like it never happened.”  The group let out a collective gasp.

     

                “Alice
    kissed you?  Our Alice?”  MarinaJenny as Robin
    put a loving arm around her waist. 
    stammered trying not to look at

     

                “Yeah.”  Dana
    sank down in the chair looking depressed. 
    Dana‘s face a mask of confusion because
    in her own way, she did love Alice. 

     

                “That’s why you broke
    it off with     Tonya?”  Kit asked,
    leaning across the bar.

     

                “Uh huh.”  The conversation came to a halt when Alice
    came ambling back to the group, handing the phone to Kit.

    2. J, always wondered why you disabled the ratings. I sure would have given you 5 stars girl :). Anyway, I think you know I’m a fan of your work now. Not that I’m gonna go all nice on you LOL. Ok, back on the chapter. “Miss Multiples”, that was awesome, I think I even laughed harder than Sam did and I can just imagine how Shane’s face would have looked like. Priceless!!! Oh how cute are Dana and Alice? And I’m sure those carwindows would get very steamy indeed! Great chapter again. And yes J, I love drama too ;)

    3. I still like it. Gives you a lot to think about. I like Bette and Tina together,but Tina is really a Miss Goody Two Shoes. You can asked me to do anything and most of the time I’ll do it,but dont tell me to do it. A Taurus, Still think that Sam is cool. Just give us some good Dyke Drama. Thanks bvh

    5. I remember this story from last year and I am really glad you are either reposting or re-writing.. I loved it then and I am sure I will love it this time.. I love the Sam character… Can’t wait for more…

    6. Great, as always. Poor Tim. Please don’t make him hang around too long suffering, unless you are going to get them back together….ducking…(str8y here, be nice). Is Jenny playing Marina and Robin or am I just trying to carry over from the last fanfic? Regarding the stalker thing, I have been trying to stay away from the spoilers. I hope they are not going to do that to Alice. Truly, I believe she has suffered enough. But, for real, stalker Bette, again pul-lease. She’s not a stalker, she’s a stalkee (please no ideas for crazies, leave Jen alone). Ok, I admit I am from Betteville. She is the ultimate in confidence (Ok yeah ego), intelligence and beauty in one package. It is an inspiring thing to see. Quick question, what’s up with the sentence structure. I am sure it’s just a posting problem. At any rate, JKDWYD.

    7. I love all the banter in the group. “Ms. Multiples” how great, poor Shane had to be embarassed. Ok and I know you do not like Bette very much, but please can we get a little Bette action ;)

    8. Poor Shane, Playing it so cool and her friends blowing it w/ the Ms. Multiples story. Funny as hell though. Dana really took charge (about damn time), Alice didn’t know what hit her. Great update.
