The escape and The escape…in the mirror (Part 28)

    Picture16

Finally, about 30 minutes later, we all sat on the terrace and had breakfast. "Well girls, I’m sorry, but I have to leave you. I open the Planet at 11:00 o’clock. See you later there?" "Of course." Shane shot out and thereby answered persuasive and clearly for all of us. After another hour they had all gone and silence came into our house. Well, finally, I got the time now to think about everything and to decide how it should go on now. How I handle the fact that you are in Seattle and have contact to Marina.  I sat with my cup of coffee at the pool very long and stared on the water. On the one hand I was glad to have found you, on the other hand, … Jenny had told me that you have a similar problem like Marina’s. That you think about to writing me a letter or calling me. That you have grappled very much with us and the past. And she told me that you suffer very much of the fact that we don’t have contact to each other, that you are so endlessly sorry for leaving and not having contacted me for so long.

What shall I do, Bette? Should I wait, until you would call me? I can imagine very well how hard it must be for you. With pleasure I would tell you that it is so easy, you just have to do the first step. I would say that I’m still waiting here for you and I would say that I am ready to talk to you and that I am ready for the truth, however it goes on.

My cup of coffee is empty. I go to the kitchen to get a new one. On the way my look sticks to the phone. There’s a piece of paper next to it: "I don’t know whether it is right, but if you should decide to get in touch … here is Marina’s number: 0800 – 3 201 511 Jenny." She is right, maybe I should call Marina to get to know more about everything? I took the phone with me on the terrace like a precaution … Some time later it seemed to be the right time for me to call Marina.
