    The Canvas of Our Life…

My story begins in a small caf in West Hollywood called, The Planet. At the time it was owned and operated by a beautiful French woman named Marina. Marina and I were quickly to become friends as I visited there daily for a morning coffee and fruit plate before heading to the gallery. But it wasn’t until I met the ***** connection, a.k.a., Alice Pieczecki that I found my true friends. Alice was a freelance writer very successful in her pursuit of a “different” kind of gossip, as she referred to it. And it was Alice who introduced me to Shane and Dana. What an unlikely group we were. All attractive woman with great qualities. Dana and up and coming tennis champion, and Shane an aspiring hairdresser who had also conquered most of the women in LA.  However, it was Alice and I who immediately hit it off. She was funny, intelligent, *****, and well willing. We were almost immediate lovers who all too soon realized that we weren’t meant to be anything more than friends. Our 7 week romance was volatile at best. But our friendship is as solid as it gets. It was Alice who introduced me to the ***** lifestyle here. She brought me to Milk, Iris and all of the other ***** clubs that peppered the city of West Hollywood. I found paradise in the beautiful woman who made themselves available to me. I never thought I would be one of the west coasts famous players, I never meant to be. All I really wanted deep down was to find, was to find her, the one. I did however, enjoy the search. I “discovered” one beautiful woman after another. Conquests if you will. It wasn’t as if they were easy woman, not by any means. I had higher standards than that. I seemed to be searching for something that I couldn’t find in any of them. Doctors, lawyers, artists, executives came and went and I was left feeling lost. My career however, was not as lost as my love life. I had made a name for myself in LA very quickly. I was getting offers from around the country. Many great opportunities came and went. But my heart kept telling me to stay. There is something more for you here. So I stayed, and I decided to make my own fate. I applied for a business loan. I had saved $50,000 over the last few years by making some great investments. I had written a perfectly composed business plan and was approved almost immediately. So quickly I thought it had to be the universe again granting me the perfect opportunity. My dream was going to come true. I was going to open a gallery. My gallery.  I threw myself into my search for the perfect building. I knew when I met Gloria a highly successful real estate broker, at Milk one night that she would help. Of course the 2 wonderful nights we spent together in San Francisco 2 weekends ago certainly encouraged her along. We truly enjoyed the time spent together in my frantic yet exhilarating search. Sometimes even taking time out of a “tour” of an abandoned building to have hot risky *****. Gloria was my type, successful, motivated, beautiful. I actually thought I could have more than a 30 day affair with her. We were certainly starting off on the right foot. We already knew when we needed each other and when to leave each other alone. I actually like the fact that she didn’t believe in co-habitation. Perfect.
