“Bette,” Tina whispered between the passionate kisses, “make love to me.”

              Bette placed a final, sweet kiss on Tina’s lips and looked deep into her eyes.

             “What about dinner?”

             “Ha,” Tina let out a small laugh, “did you just respond to my request for you to make love to me by asking ‘what about dinner’?”

             Bette gave a small, shy smile as she leaned against Tina’s forehead, “I did but I just want to make sure this is what you want, T.”

             Tina’s heart melted at hearing Bette call her T and especially hearing the sincerity in Bette’s words and voice.

             “Bette, first of all…I love that you just called me T,” she said planting a kiss on Bette’s nose, “and just the fact that you care so much as to if this is what I really want, makes me want you even more and makes me love you even more.”

             ‘Oh, shit.  Did I really just drop the L word?’ Tina thought.

             ‘She totally just dropped the L word,’ Bette thought as a smile spread across her face at hearing Tina say that and then the expression on her face that followed.

             “Um, um what I meant…” Tina tried to mumble out a sentence.

             “T, it’s okay…I love you too.”

             “You do?”

             “Yeah,” Bette said in a tender voice, giving Tina a soft kiss.

             “Good, because I really do love you,” Tina said smiling.

            “I know it sounds crazy, but I fell in love with you the first moment I saw you.  I was never a believer in love at first sight but now I am a true believer.”

            “Bette, of course it doesn’t sound crazy to me—to others maybe,” she said with a laugh, “but not to me.  I obviously felt the same.  When I looked at you all I felt was love and I knew I had found my soul mate.  And while it did kind of scare me at first that my soul mate was a woman, I don’t feel that now because this is just so perfect and right.”

             Both women’s hearts were about to pop out of their chests they were so full of love and happiness.  They smiled at each other and gave each other the sweetest of kisses and let the moment sink into their memories.
