The scene takes places in Tinas hospital room.
Tina is laying in her hospital bed holding their baby daughter.

The door opens..Oh my gosh! That is all Bette is able to say.
As she places her hand over her mouth and begins to tear up.

Well are you going to stand there all day or are you going to come here and meet your daughter. Tina said with a proud smile.

Bette slowly wants towards Tina.Tina can see how emotional Bette is about the birth..
She is now causing Tina to get teary eyed.
Ok get over here and hold your daughter. Tina says
Bette walks closer and leans into kiss Tina.
Its our little angel Bette says as Tina hands her the little girl.
Bette sits on the side of Tinas bed.holding their baby.
She is so beautifulTina Bette saysWhat should we call this little angel?
I was thinking about Anna Bella.. Tina shared with Bette How do you feel about that?
Bette was so in awh of the little baby that she would have gone along with any name.
Yep that sounds excellent —T Bette replies still memorized by the sight of this little miracle.

Just as they were agreeing with the name.Kit, Shane, Maria, Alice, Dana, Jenny, and Carmen come barging into the hospital room..Nothing was going to keep them from see there little niece.
Oh my! She is so cute.. Kit said as she was leaning over Bette to see her.
Dana couldnt say anything she just cried..
Wow she has Bettes hair Alice shared as she hopped on to the bed on the other side of Tina.

While Bette was watching her sister hold the babyShe thought to herself.

Jenny walked over and gave Tina and Bette a hug..You guys are going to make great parentsWhen do you get to take her home?
The doctor recommended that I stay two more days

Carmen you didnt have to do this. Tina stated You gave me something at the shower.

Bette snaps out of her trace and sits next to Tina and begins to read them.
The first one said Free”Fifty minutes of babysitting.
The second one said Free two hours of babysitting.

Meanwhile back downstairs in the gift shop you see Dominic ( Marias father) looking for a stuffed animal to take up there..He is with Maria old roommate Joseph..How about this sweet little one. Dominic said
No I like this snake better myself. Joseph said. Joseph is holding the snake up and it makes noises.

Just then a woman in her mid fiftys came up to the cash registrar.
She saw the two men fussing over what to get. She gave the clerk her fifty cents and bought a newspaper.

Who us? Dominic quested.
Your so stupid Joseph said You can clearly understand this young lady is referring to the baby we came here to see.
Yes you would say that is what I meant.But I think I meant the baby who you are buying the toy for.
Its oh it is a newborn of a friend of ours. Dominic stated as he looked up at the woman
Dominic? The woman questioned.
Alana? Dominic replied in shocked tone.
What brings you to California let alone a hospital here? Alana asks
Oh a friend of ours just had a baby so we came up to see her. Dominic replied.
This is Joseph Dominic said about his friend who was standing there holding two different pink teddy bears.

Its nice to meet you too. he stated Hey Ill run this one up to Tina and the baby. Joseph replied.
Dominic was in shock to see the mother of his daughter standing in front of him.
He thought to himselfshe has her nervebut then thought she looks so pretty and sweet I cant be mean to her. He notices that she is wearing an ID badge for the hospital.
So what brings you here? Dominic inquired.
I am a social worker her at the hospital. Alana responded trying not to get emotional.
Thats good.. Dominic said as he stared into her eyes. He could see Alana and Bette
have the same eyes as she does.
They walked out into the lobby and had a seat next to each other.
I went to a rehab to sober up and try to put my life back together. After rehab I
finished my undergraduate degree and went on to get a masters. I took this job six months ago. Alana replied.
That is really good AlanaIm proud of youyou always had a big heart. Dominic stated.
Well I dont know about that it was just very tough that I had failed at being a mother..not once but twice. Alana stated
So how is Anna Maria? Alana asked him
She is goodactually she just moved out hereafter my mother died Maria wanted to
get in touch with ElizabethMy mother shared your letters with Maria before she died.
Dominic explained.
She did?? Alana said as she got a tear in her eye.
Maria finished college and became a teacher but after mom died Maria wanted to
come out here.. Dominic stated. She wanted to get in touch with her sister.
So did she find Elizabeth? Alana asked.
Yes she has and they have a very strong bond.Kit is here too.. Dominic added.
Wow that is wonderful. Alana stated.
OhI need to get up to see my friends baby before visiting hours are over Dominic said.
Well could we meet for coffee and talk some more? Alana asked himI know I dont deserve to talk with you or even find out about our daughter
Dominic said surehere is my cell phone numberIm going to be in town for at least two more weeks. You look really good AlanaIm happy for you.

Dominic entered Tinas hospital room to see everyone packed close to the bed and making over the little bundle of joy.
Hey dad… Maria saidThey named her Anna Bella..

Wow she is gorgeous Dominic said as he handed the pink teddy bear to Tina.

Just then the nurse came and announced I hate to do this but Tina needs her rest and visiting hours have been over for an hourI am going to have to ask you all to leave.
They grumbled but realized that Tina had been through a huge ordeal that day.
They all gave her there hugs and headed out the door.
Mariawait you forgot something. Tina said
I did? Maria was confused.
Yes I want you to take Bette homeshe needs her rest. Tina suggested
Im fine Tina I was going to spend the night. Bette pleaded
Nohoney I really appreciate it and we know you love usI just want you to get your rest. Tina said You will not be any good to us if you collapse from exhaustion.
She is right Maria added..Ill have you here bright and early tomorrow morning.
But! Bette cried.
No Butts about it your going home. Tina said as she gave her wife a kiss good bye and a hug.
Bette pouted but she knew she believed what Tina just suggested.
I love you Bette replied as she gave Tina a kiss on the cheek and then bent down and gave her daughter a kiss on the forehead. Mommy loves you little angel Anna Bella.
Bette left with Maria.

A little while later.A woman walks into Tinas room
Hi Tina A sweet voice says Im Alana Im one of the social workers here in the hospital.
Oh its nice to meet youBut I dont think I need a social worker. Tina replied.
We do this for every first time mother. Alana repliedWe just want to make sure everything is ready for you and the baby. We want to assist in anyway possible.

Is the father here? Alana asked
Ummm no actually my partner and I had the baby with the help of a sperm donation.
Tina explained.
Oh I seeI think that is wonderful. Alana added. As Tina was placing the baby back into its crib.
May I see her. Alana inquired
Sure her name is Anna Bella. Tina said proudly
She is beautiful.Is she biracial? Alana asked.
Yes she is.my partner is biracial. Tina added in a protective tone.
My oldest daughter is Biracial. Alana stated

Oh honey my daughter is your age if not older. Alana said jokingly.

Well lets say my family genes helped me look youthful because it wasnt my life.

Here are some brochures I can leave for you and tomorrow I can answer any questions you have. I know its late so I dont want to keep you. Alana said politely.
