The plane landed in New York.  The pilot came out and stated that there was a bad storm coming in and given the fact that he needed to rest after the long flight he was going to postpone their departure till the following evening.  Arrangements have been made for you at a nearby hotel courtesy of the Peggy Peabody. 

Ladies, the limo will be here shortly.  Would you like any luggage taken with you to the hotel?

Bette and Tina and Dane deplaned and as they were walking to the limo, Tina reached over and held Bette’s hand.

Dane:  Mommy, are we not home yet?

No honey.  There is a storm heading in we wont be leaving until tomorrow.  Are you anxious to get home?

Dane:  I just wanted to get home and see Uncle James.  I have missed him and I want to show him my new books that Aunt Shane bought for me.

Tina looked at Bette when Dane mentioned James.

I tell you what as soon as we get to the hotel we will call him and you can tell him all about your trip.

Dane just nodded.

Tina:  Bette, Is uncle James who I think it is?

Bette looked at Tina and just nodded.

Tina:  You mean to tell me that James has moved to London to be with you?  Tina was getting angry.  When you left James said he had no idea where you were.  How long has he been with you?

Bette knew that Tina was getting upset.  She reached over and tried to take Tina’s hand in hers but Tina pulled it back.   Tina, listen to me.  James came over about six months after I left. I needed him. I needed someone.

Bette, you had someone.  Me. But you chose to run and leave me.  I would have been there for you!

Tina, at that time you didn’t want to have anything to do with me!  I thought we were over!

Both Tina and Bette were raising their voices. 

Dane:  Mommy, aunt Tina why are you yelling?

Both Tina and Bette looked at one another.  Tina got upset.

Im sorry Dane.  We were just talking about something and we got loud.

The limo pulled up in front of the hotel and the driver opened the door.

Tina, Dane and Bette stepped out of the limo.  However when Bette stepped out she had a sharp pain in her stomach.

Tina had heard Bettes sharp intake of breathe. 

Tina:  Bette are you okay?

Bette:  Yes, I just have a stitch in my side. It seems to have passed.

Tina just looked at Bette with concern.

They entered the hotel and finished checking in and were headed to the elevators when Bette had another sharp pain and began getting dizzy.

Tina: Bette! What is it what’s wrong?

Bette: I don’t know I feel dizzy all of a sudden and…

Bette collapsed into Tina’s arms.
