    Something so Right

    Chapter Nine

     

    Bette opened her eyes and looked down at Tina

     

    “You okay ?”

     

    Tina opened her eyes and looked at Bette

     

    “Fantastic “

     

    “You want to walk or go back to the blanket or ?”

     

    Bette wasn’t sure what Tina would want to do next. She had taken a massive leap forward – kissing a woman had been a huge step for the blonde. Bette was sure of her own feelings – they were new and it took some time for her to work out what they were but the kiss had made her feelings more obvious – she wanted to be with Tina and for her that meant monogamy and commitment and a long term future. She wanted to ask Tina if she felt the same but the blonde had a lot to come to terms with – she was taking her first tentative steps to becoming a lesbian. The last thing that Bette wanted was to scare Tina – she wanted to cherish and protect and love this truly perfect woman.

     

    “Can we walk for a while ?”

    “Of course “

     

    Bette released Tina from the hug that had lasted for about ten minutes and took her hand. They began to walk through the shallow water – Tina was quiet and Bette respected her girlfriend’s need to process what was happening to her.

     

    “I always felt that I was different and that it was my fault that I didn’t really find all these men attractive who obviously thought that I was cute or whatever. I dated a lot of men at college – jocks and computer nerds and hairy rockers -. My friends all seemed to have a type of man that they found attractive but I never did and slowly my friends all started to pair off. I didn’t need a partner – not in the way that some women do but there has always been a void in my life. This missing piece “

     

    Bette nodded – she could relate to that feeling. The feeling of being the third wheel – the feeling of not daring to admit to your friends that you didn’t think the latest Hollywood hunk was sexy.

    6. This is one of my favorites at the moment. So sweet. But I wonder how they will handle the ex-boyfriend. Particularly how Tina will handle him at work. Hopefully she isn’t going to let him think there is another chance. Hope that there is another chapter soon.

    7. Doesn’t sound like Mr. Man has much of a chance. Very poor timing on his part as Tina’s already signed the contract for the other team. If Tina’s smart she’ll turn the volume down on both the ringer and the answering machine and have her virginal way with Bette.

Just crazy about B&T beginnings and you never fail. Its just amazing!
