Something so right
Chapter 78
Tina was shopping with Helena – Helena was shoe shopping which she took very seriously. Tina had just tagged along to get out of the apartment. The British woman looked at her and smiled
“
Are you okay – there is a coffee shop over there -we could go and sit down “
“I am fine but I wouldn’t mind a coffee “
“Coffee it is – are you sure you like those shoes ?”
“I think they are gorgeous”
Helena smiled “They are – okay – I’ll buy them “
While Helena was paying with her debit card Tina walked across and started looking at the dresses. She was really getting back to her best – she had been ill for about a week and she hadn’t objected to everyone fussing over her. But in the last couple of days she was feeling stronger and the key test of her health was improving – she was no longer coughing up black phlegm. The doctor wanted her to stay away from work for another couple of weeks but she was beginning to be bored by her spell away from the office.
When Helena joined her Tina was holding a red dress – it was daring and would really suit her.
“That is rather nice “ Helena commented “Thinking of buying it ?”
“Bette is having one of her events tonight – a talk by one of her artists. The artist is one who is always hanging around Bette like a puppy on heat. I would like to be there “
“Warn her off ?”
“I know that Bette wouldn’t touch her in a month of Sundays but I would like to be there to remind everyone that she is taken “
Helena took the dress and admired it – she turned it around
“I can see you in this and I can see Bette loving it “
“Lets go and have a coffee and we can talk about it “
Helena put the dress back on the rail and they walked across the store to the café.

great update! love how Helena and James assured Tina. and it was perfect that Tina heard it for herself.
So that’s a big part of Tina’s issue then… she doesn’t totally trust Bette. Bette’s not done anything to lose Tina’s trust yet, though, so her eavesdropping on Bette telling Tess to get lost should help Bette’s already strong case. Maybe the reverse is true for Bette as well. Maybe she doesn’t trust Tina not to leave unless they’ve tied the knot… These guys still have some work to do, but I’m glad they’re getting there. Thanks for the chapter, ally.
Yeah smack that biotch down Bette! Maybe Tina will think about why she really doesn’t want to get married and come around. Now how about some funny househunting pages? PPS:)
awesome – I wonder what it’s like to have women throw themselves at you – I do know what it’s like to have the one true love and it’s worth everything as your story truly shows -thanks ally for the romance.
Finally an update (not that I’m complaining; just EXCITED) So that’s new; Tina is worried about Bette cheating and that’s why she doesn’t want to get married. i really thought Tina was just against marriage in all forms after watching her parent’s relationship develop over the years. If Tina is worried that Bette will stray maybe they shouldn’t get married. I don’t know what all Bette can do to convince Tina that she’ll be loyal, but until Tina can put her faith in Bette 100% it’s better that they don’t do the whole marriage thing. i do feel bad for Bette that everyone knows that Tina turned down her proposal. But Bette’s ego doesn’t seem to be too bruised so I guess she doens’t care what people on the street say as long as she has Tina (that alone should have Tina convinced that Bette is devoted to her completely). I think Helena is right though, if Tina is going to wear a ring and her and Bette are buying a house together why not just have abog party and tie the knot? Who doesn’t like parties and presents (LOL) PPS!
O.K. so that should have taken away Tina’s “fear factor”. I’m not sure if Tina knows why she won’t marry Bette anymore. Anyway, they are back together and that’s the most important thing. Great update Ally and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Yeah, I knew about Jb’s book but not Pam’s so thx for that info. Great chapter. Real good that Tina overheard Bette giving Tess the bum’s rush. That should make Ms T feel more secure. Its real hard when u’ve got parents who play the field to ever trust someone will be faithful to u and only u. Helena is great as a friend too. And I wish I had the chocolate cake right now.
Well I hope that’s enough to make Tina see that Bette won’t cheat on her. I think it’s good that they are getting a house. Thanks for posting!
Good that Tina heard for herself how Bette told off Tess and threatened her to make her understand that she didn’t want her or anyone else except Tina. Hopefully that takes care of Tina’s insecurities and now maybe Bette needs to be more secure with Tina not stepping out on her. Deep down I think they both know that their relationship is safe. Tina is hot and gorgeous in red, thanks for that mental image. Loved the update. Thanks for the info about Pam and Jenifer’s books, I had no idea as I don’t always get the news until someone puts it on this site. Post when you can Allye.
So love this story,have from the start! That trust issue-so HUGE! After all the rants about S6,especially the final episode & the “Confessionals” (can’t REALLY be interrogations IC!) I will always be left with that ONE beautiful image of Tina lying on Bettes back!! it spoke 1000 words and reminds me of the beautiful couple YOU always write about-so AGAIN thank you,thank you!!!
