SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Chapter 73
Tina was slowly waking up – her chest was aching. She was aware of something on her face – she opened her eyes and reached to find out what was on her mouth. She pulled the oxygen mask off and took several breathes. What had happened was coming flooding back to her – there had been smoke and she had hammered on the door – she had heard shouts for help which had made her somehow kick the door open – the rest was a blur. She looked around – Bette was sitting in a chair beside her bed -her head was lolling on one side. She was probably shattered. Tina tried to pull herself up and managed – her hand and arm ached. She had probably done that in the fire. God – what a totally insane day this was.
For a few minutes she looked at Bette – at least she was here. She had been so mad with her this morning but being told that Tina had been in an accident would have been a horrible shock to her. It was a lot for both of them to take in so soon after their worst ever fight. Even shattered Bette looked so serene and beautiful. She stirred and opened her eyes
“Hey there “ Tina smiled
“Babe “ Bette jumped up and sat on the bed – tears were streaming down her face “Oh Tina”
“Its okay “ Tina said but she could feel how tight her chest was and that breathing without aid was a struggle.
“Oh babe “ Bette managed she hugged Tina who returned the embrace until the tightness in her chest became too much – Bette holding her was making it worse. She eased away and picked the oxygen mask up and took several breathes of oxygen which immediately eased the tightness in her chest and made her breathing easier
“Are you in pain ? Do you want me to get a nurse ?”
“No – just sit here with me “
Bette took hold of Tina’s hand and kissed it – Tina felt the tears dropping onto her skin
“You have no idea “ Bette began but she couldn’t speak for the tears that were coming fast and furious

Yay Tina is alright! and Bette is just too cute spoiling Tina like that! Parents can stay home for till Tina is recovered in my mind! PPS:)
Well, I think Finn can sell it to the parents to stay away for now, by telling them that Tina wants to see them in a few weeks. If they are smart, they will listen to him. They really started to communicate in this chapter, but I was sorry to see that without this catastrophic catalyst they couldn’t find common ground. Hoping you update again soon Ally…thanks!
well sometimes you write a chapter that just take my breathe away. i hope you will stay for a couple of weeks here because you write the interaction between them sooo good !and admit that teddy bear is from 604 ;) give it back to BooBooPPS ally
I am releaved, Thank God that it went well, and they are both OK and found their way back to each other. It’s wonderful the way they love each other, it kind of reminded me of love and pride, I don’t know why but I missed this story so very much, and I was wondering when will you post it again Ally??? I hope we can see B&T healthy and happy in the next chapter, and for them to find a new common thing to do while getting Tina better again. Thanks Hun, you are great. Love
I am glad to hear that Tina is going to be fine. Yes, they need to talk. Tina has had Bette face her demons, gragually. I think it’s time that Tina faces her fear about marriage. As Helena has said before she and Bette are NOT her parents. It is not fair to Bette.
Nice to see them willing to discuss. Too bad it took a crisis to do so but maybe that’s what it took to move them from spots. ITA w/funnyone. Tina and Finn must be from the English part of NC.

Glade that Tina will be okay. Finn love the both so much,and understands both of them and the stubborness in both. Her parents shouldnt come for a couple of weeks but should come. thanks

So they’ve finally kissed and started the long road to making up. We can all breathe a sigh of relief now. But they do need to talk some more about all the difficult stuff about their relationship and their future. Thanks a bunch for this update, Ally! :>

I just loved this chapter. Finally they are communicating, but have so much more to talk about. Nix to the parental visit too, unless Tina’s mum apologizes to Bette.
You know, I’ve inhaled a fair amount of smoke in my day, but never in enough concentration to put me in the hospital. However, I HAVE woken up in the hospital and seriously, as much as you want to be elsewhere, if you’re that sick, you don’t really feel like jumping out of that uncomfortable bed. And yes, just as it’s not the best make out spot, it’s also not the place for deep relationship discussions. I was struck by how oddly people from North Carolina speak: Mums in bloody knickers. Or is it bloody mums in knickers? Despite their ongoing beef, I don’t see how Tina’s parents could be made to stay away under the circumstances.
