“I love you more – now will you get a towel or something “
Just as Tina was going to head back to the bedroom the phone rang. Tina looked across at Bette
“Who do I know that would ring me at silly AM on a Saturday morning “
“That wasn’t your landline – it was your door phone
“I know even less people who would arrive at this time in the morning “shrugging Tina picked up the door phone and went white.
“Dad – what are you doing in LA ?”

Bette almost dropped her coffee cup – Tina’s dad was outside the apartment. Shit ! Why ? What the hell was he doing in LA when he was supposed to be in San Francisco ?
“Oh – I didn’t know that – no – I didn’t see the weather forecast last night. Sure – well I am naked- you got me out of the shower – give me a few minutes. I’ll buzz the door “
Tina put the phone down and looked at Bette
“San Francisco is fog bound. He was diverted here and seeing as he came up two days early to see me he decided to come here “
“You want me to go ?”
Tina held out her hands “ I don’t know – its not how I wanted this to happen. Its not ideal but we are going to have to deal with this “
“I’m dressed – I can go home “
“I need my robe “ Tina went into the bedroom. Bette looked around the apartment – it was inevitable given how much time they spent here that some of her things were around. Her briefcase was beside Tina’s – her car keys next to the front door. Bette stood up when Tina came back
“I can leave “
“No – will you wait in the bedroom though. I will tell him now “
“Are you sure ?”
“Positive “
“Babe – a few minutes ago you were terrified “
“I got over myself. I am gay -he can either deal with it or not “

Well, that took all the worry out of telling her Dad…she didn’t have time to think about it. Now all we have to worry about is Mom…hopefully Niall knows her well enough to know she’ss be O.K. with it too. Can’t wait for your next update Ally. Beautiful story!
AllyE that was a wonderful update. So happy that the unexpected meeting with Tina’s father has gone so well and certainly hope it goes as well with her mother. Tina’s father seems to be a very open minded man or at least he has an understanding of the very real world in which we live. Hope this connection with Mr. Kennard works for Bette because she needs a positive and loving man in her life that she can talk to and relate as a loving father should treat his daughter. Post when you can.
So glad Tina’s dad was so open minded about her situation. Looks like Bette got some good points for her beauty, poise, and also her intelligence. Now dad can pave the way with T’s mom. Great to hear we’ll be getting a chapter of L Wing soon. Sorry I haven’t commented in a while my internet was down for a while.

Aww, I loved this part. I hope we get more Bette bonding with Tina’s father. Considering how awful her own father is because she is gay.. it would be nice if being with Tina was another way to heal those wounds. PPS.
