SOMETHING SO RIGHT
Chapter 137
Tina parked her brand new car with great care – she opened the door and walked around to open the passenger door for her mother. It was Monday lunch time and Tina and Sarah were spending the day together. Sarah got out of the car and looked around. It was a beautiful day and a gentle breeze was keeping the heat bearable.
“Thank you – that is a beautiful car Tina “
“It is “
“Have you and Bette been out in it ?”
“We went out yesterday. Bette drove us down the coast for Sunday lunch and I brought us back the scenic route. “
“It seems such a smooth drive “
“Oh it is – I was cruising down the highway and it wasn’t until Bette coughed that I realised just how fast I was actually going – well over 100”
“You are a very good driver “
“Thank you – not bad for someone who started driving a truck around the farm when I was 14 “
Sarah laughed “Yes – the irony isn’t lost on me – where are we going for lunch ?”
“Our favourite fish restaurant “
“That sounds lovely “
“Its pretty understated but Bette and I love eating here. It was one of the first places I brought her on a date “
They began walking along the sea wall – Sarah was looking around
“I do love the sea “
“I do as well – even though its out of the way I love coming down here to run or just to spend an hour or two”
“There is something so timeless about the sea – its very therapeutic “
“Bette says that about being on the farm – she loves going out “
“Maybe if you live somewhere you don’t appreciate it and you crave some other sort of view “
They walked on a little further
“How are you doing mom – tell me honestly ?”
Sarah smiled “You don’t have to worry about me – I am fine. Really darling – this is a very good time for me “

Oh my stars, I wondered if something like this would happen. Do tell, Allye. Oh mighty Queen of DRAMA and the best damned cliffhanger in all of fanfiction. Good for him, he deserves the same kick in the ass that he has given everyone else. Please don’t keep us waiting too long. Oh I love it. Thanks for posting. I’m excited to see what happens next. I must say though… I can’t believe Sarah would date someone like that. I don’t care if he is reacting to a traumatic experience. Would he really be more accepting if it were a man his wife left him for? Also, did she even think about when things get more serious? If they get married, will Tina and Bette be welcomed in their home or will he leave every time they visit? It really doesn’t matter if he is a good man. Sarah shouldn’t be involving herself with someone who insults who her daughter is. I find that even though I like Sarah more than Niall right now, my respect for her is still low considering how she sleeps with men who would definitely make things awkward for Tina and she tends to not give a crap about Tina’s feelings on the matter.

Liz, baby, I’ m with you in this one. I never saw it coming and I prefer our parents even though they are not talking to us! LOL! At least with them we know where we are at all moments. And youn2731 you are right about Sarah. I never liked her. She never thought about Tina’s feelings. Not when she was fucking Tina’s ex boyfriend and especially not now when she is dating someone like that. And that his wife leaving him for a woman isn’t an excuse to me. I wonder: Isn’t she ashamed of herself? Is she really stupid that she expect Tina to be all right after that? And as for Niall, well, he took what he deserved. Okayyyyy… the Mom dating someone who doesn’t like ‘gay people’, i.e. her child… that’s a no-brainer. Don’t date the f*ckwit!!! There is no way in h*ll that a parent chooses a partner that is likely to split her relationship with her child. That just ticks me off. Tina, I’ll share my step-parents with you. Whoa! That was a surprise! I never expected that. So Niall’s going to come crawling back to his family with his tail tucked between his legs.I hope Sarah will stand up to her homophobic bf. It willl give her a chance to make up to Tina and Bette and show them that she won’t allow anyone to disrespect them.
Forgot to say this earlier. Sarah has really pissed me off by dating a man that hates who her daughter is, without even knowing her or her partner. His reasoning is so very flawed and he’s using it a a crutch. Fact is, he’s a lying ass and Sarah has bought into it. She should think very carefully about dating him, she should just probably just give him the old heave-ho. Until he can be more honest with himself and her, he should stay away from her because she will not allow anyone to disrespect her daughter in any way. Thanks for a fantastic chapter.

well this is one heck of a chapter! Tina needs to lighten up a bit about Jonathan. If his only associations w/ “gays” is thatis wife left him for a woman maybe once he gets to know Bette and Tina he’ll have a more postive association with gay folks going forward. Also, this is all based on what Tina’s mom thinks his reaction will be; has anyone asked him yet? I’m still on team Willow and think everyone needs to cut her some slack. She’s dealing w/ a lot and I’m sure she’ll come around eventually and even apologize to Bette for acting so poorly. As for Niall getting kicked to the curb…karma is a B**** and he got what he deserved (LOL). Great update, please post soon (or maybe you already have since I’m getting caught up on all my favorite fan fic).
