Something so right
Chapter 106

Tina could feel her headache getting steadily worse – as the week had progressed her mood and it seemed her whole body was slowly disintegrating. Work was hell – she had come as close as she ever had to sacking Eric. Normally his low level snideness just washed over her but he had made a remark to her as she had been going into a meeting with a potential new TV director. The comment had stayed with her and when she had left the meeting after a couple of hours she had actually went to his office and yelled him out. She had laid it on the line -the next time he made any comment about her being a lesbian and she was going to actively make his life a living hell. He had succeeding in getting under her skin and she was sure he would be gloating about it. She was trying to work on the development of a script that had been sitting in her in-tray for several weeks . Finally she picked the script up and threw it across the room.
She didn’t know what the hell was happening to her – she just knew that she was afraid that she was starting to unravel . Physically she felt listless- despite the number of times she went to the gym she was not getting the hormonal rush that she normally did. It was only Thursday but the week seemed to have dragged on and on. Someone knocked at the door
“Come in “
Lara – Tina’s personal assistant came in carrying what seemed to be a pile of messages. Lara spotted the script – she casually picked it up and placed it without fuss on Tina’s desk.
“What is it ?”
“Alice called again “
Tina groaned
“I don’t want to talk to Alice “
“Alice just wants you to return her call “
“Okay – leave it with me “
“Bette called “
Tina looked up “Yeah ?”
“She loves you “
Tina smiled and took the message and read it out loud “ Bette rang 1:46pm – tell Tina I love her” Tina

Still loving this story. Tina’s dad needs to grow up a bit I think and stop calling his daughter names because he is upset with the situation he created. Thanks for the post!
Tina has nothing to apologize for! Tina’s dad needs to grow up.
Happy Bette had a little talk with Tina. Tina’s dad needs to deal with the mess he made and leave his kids out of it. Thank you PPS
Hey AllyE, Great to have another posting of this fabulous story.Eric is a real dick as he continues with petty name calling. Tina needs to sort him out once and for all. This is too distracting at work and doing Tina no favours.Secondly, how good is it to talk. Bette proved this as she both listen to and gave her own consel on how best for Tina to deal with her father.Yes, Tina’s dad has been an idiot but he has chosen his path so Tina has to live with it too and try to rebuild their relationship.Fathers are the first hero in your life and it can be soul destroying when you find out that they are just human beings with many faults and flaws.I agree with Bette that Tina has to face the reality of her father’s relationship and child so that they move forward.Thirdly, where can I get a massage like that. Bette just instinctively knew how best to help Tina relax and even catch up on a little sleep.Their chat was serious with moments of levity to keep things from becoming to dark. This demonstrated the strength and committment these gals share. Their bond is constant and accepting of frailties. Just beautifully written.Thank you so much for sharing your talent and gift with me.Your Loyal Fan and Friend.
Tina has nothing to apologize for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!erik is LOSER AND AN ASS
Another great chapter AllyE. Niall is being a butt for and needs to understand that not everyone is happy with the situationthat he himself created and having the baby to top it off is just ridiculous. No one will skip blindly thru the daisies just because he seems to want to do so. He has left a trail of broken hearts and too much responsibility on others shoulders because he wants to play house with a newborn with its mother who is younger than his daughter. he needs to get over himself. Thanks for posting AllyE.
great chapter AllyE, thanks for posting!!
It seems that a part of Tina has not grown up yet. I hope she finds the support she needs in Bette and sort things out.
Lord knows where you get all these stories and plots, but I’m so glad you do!
what a funny way to close a a very tense day for Bette and Tina. Thanks for update Ally
Love this story and love the way they communicate…..
This is just a wonderful story and briliant update. Thank you for this story.
Bette is giving tina good advice, but isn’t Niall the parent? i think he owes Tina an apology and not the other way around. It’s too bad that this situation w/ her parents is causing Tina so much stress, but maybe a weekend away w/ Bette is just what the doctor ordered. Post soon please!
I just love how Bette is taking care of Tina through this difficult time. She is so fortunate to have her.
Poor Tina, but Bette will help her to fix this mess.Another great chapter.Thank you.
VERY NICE chapter. Bette is right that the children need to let the parents settle things between themselves, BUT Nialls is the one that is spoiled. He is use to Tina idiolizing him and has taken advantage nof it in the past when Tina was mad at her mom. I think that Nialls should be the one to offer the olive branch, it is part of his role as a parent. If he is not dealing weel with 2 am feedings “Tuff titties said the kitty, but the milk is still good”. He may bhave not had to do much work in helping with thier early morning feeding, Sarah probably did all thre work. I don’t recall anybody offering Sarah an appology when they Tina was laying into her about David. In fact Nialls layed on saying that he was embrassed by her. Nialls needs to step up with his older children and take total responsibility for his actions. This is a teachable moment for him especially with Finn. Nialls like others don’t realize that once you decide to become a parent, the job really never ends. Even after my parents death, their lessons still resonate with me and I am tankful. PPS :o).
