(Shane, Dana and Jenny enter the cafeteria and walk up to Alice and Kate. Shane was studying computer programming, Dana was business management and Jenny was studying creative writing. All three were friends of Bette’s)

Dana: (Look over at Bette and Tina, who were practically sitting on each other) Aww look at those two

Shane: Just wish they’d get their shit together and hook up already

Jenny: You still carrying a torch for Tina, Kate?

Shane: Get over it girl cos I think Tina has her sights set on Bette

Jenny: I second that

(Cut to Bette and Tina’s table. Bette notices the gang has entered)

Bette: We’ve got company

(Tina uses her superhearing to hear what the girls are saying)

Alice’s Voice: If you ask me I think Tina is scared

Dana’s Voice: Scared? Scared of what?

Alice’s Voice: That Bette doesn’t feel the same way

Kate’s Voice: I just wish I could tell Tina how I feel

(Tina stops listening and sits in surprise and shock. Kate had feelings for her)

Bette and Tina: Hey Al

Tina: (Tensely) Shut up Dane

(The girls are startled by Tina’s tense words)

Bette: You sure you’re feeling okay?

(Tina leaves the table quickly and exits the cafeteria. Cut to outside. Tina is still processing the information that Kate has feelings for her. She is confused and conflicted. She has never through of Kate more than a friend but Bette is different. She decides she needs to clear her head and walks into an empty alleyway just off the university campus and takes off in flight. Cut to cafeteria)

Bette: Nice going Dana

Dana: What did I do?

(Bette looks out the window and up to the sky where she sees Tina disappear above the clouds, however she doesn’t realise its Tina)

Bette: I’m going to class see you all later

(Bette leaves the table and the girls looking confused and startled by Bette and Tinas’ abrupt exits)
