After being away for six weeks in Bridgeport, CA coming home to Angie with Logan was a joyous occasion. The couple cocooned in their home for the first month as they adjusted to family life with an infant and six-year-old. Naturally their friends wanted to barge in to see the baby but were held off. The request to respect their wishes without exception came as a shock to everyone especially Alice for whom intrusion into the most intimate aspects of their lives had become the norm, but Bette and Tina held their stance. Boundaries and protecting their privacy were things the couple had discussed at length during their stay in Bridgeport. Bette and Tina took full responsibility for listening to unsolicited advice and allowing interference from well-meaning family and friends but in retrospect could see how detrimental it was to the health of their relationship. From now on they were intentionally putting themselves and the needs of their family first and foremost.

Angie was beside herself with excitement. She couldn’t get enough of her little brother which their parents encouraged but her enthusiasm had to be tempered. They taught Angie that Logan wasn’t like one of her dolls. She had to be super careful to love and care for her baby brother safely. They had rules about feeding and picking him up which she was not allowed to do unless strictly supervised by one of them.
As Logan grew older, they gave Angie a bit more leeway especially at playtime. Her favorite pastime was laying together on Logan’s playmat. Him on his back, she on her tummy with her elbows bent and her head resting on her palms looking down at him and making faces or talking to him. They were adorable together. Logan soon recognized her voice and started reaching out for his sister and smiling when he saw her.
As his personality formed, they noticed he had a mischievous streak which they discovered when he first pulled Angie’s hair and she squealed ouch. He laughed then reached for her neck to pull her into a cuddle, but the minute her braid was within reach he grabbed it again. It became a game that had them both laughing hysterically especially when Angie would exaggerate her squeals or blow on his tummy.

The edited version is well written, a lot of information about their family and what happend in the last six months.
Glad they set boundaries to their friends, especially Alice, about their privacy and not barging in whenever they wanted.
It’s sweet to read how Logan and Angie have bonded and how Angie read to Logan out of the books Bette let James find for her 10 years ago. And i love Bette as a mother!
They are ready for their move to NY and i can’t wait to read about that.

Agree, Bette and Tina setting boundaries and putting themselves and their family first is very necessary for the success of their ‘marriage’. Logan is a bright spot in all of their lives and now the little family is complete. Except I might need to add a puppy once they move to New York.
The next chapter (13) is also a re-write from a previously posted version but I think it needed work, so hopefully you’ll agree with the changes. I’ll post it later this evening.

I agree with all Bibi writes. As a mom this just tugs at my heart strings. I am so happy for Tina. She’s a great mom. I am thrilled for Angie. Already the protective big sister. But I am ecstatic for Bette. This seriously makes her world complete. And Logan? He will never want for love. A complete and beautiful family. So glad you are back with this. Welcome little Logan!

I have left it hanging for too long but glad to be back. Logan is very lucky to have this wonderful family and they are lucky to have him. The ‘REAL’ Bette and Tina were meant to have at least two kids and I think they were destined for it after season 6 of the OG, so not sure why they did the whole Marci standing them up storyline. Glad you like the direction I decided to take.

So glad that they are a happy couple, deeply in love and finally have the entire complete family they have longed for for so long.
Like Bibi said, so nice to read that Tina and Bette had a serious convo between them & decided to put their family & their happiness first in their lives & not allow the interference from their friends? impact their lives.
I absolutely hated that in OG – all the interference & rude interruptions from Alice & the others.
You present both women as great moms, Tina being a little more of the task master when it comes to following the rules they have established. But both ladies loving their kids with all their hearts.
Glad they are still going to NYC & Tina will get her chance to shine in her new career position. Looking forward to more updates – actually the one you’ve already posted!!!!!

Bette and Tina are in a really good place as a couple and with the kids. I almost regret bringing the Jenny, Jodi, Kelly conflict into the story but now I need to ride it out. I’m anxious to get through that and have them start their family focused new lives in New York and also balancing their careers..
I didn’t mean for Tina to sound like a ‘task-master’ just setting boundaries for the kids and giving them discipline so they don’t end up like spoiled brat GQ Angie. Bette was wobbling a little having Logan sleep in his room but she’s totally on board with Tina and doing what’s best for the kids. No one wants a clingy kid that is so attached they can’t leave him.
Chapter 13 is a repost. I’ve made some updates, and moved some things around in future chapters but I’ve got a few written so will try to post often.
