Chapter 32
New York – 2000
Four months had passed since the proposal and the whole wedding plan had been set into motion. Clearly Eric was looking forward to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loved and cherished, but Tina was not and that was showing in everything they did. From social gatherings with friends and family to making the decisions about table clothing or which flavour the cake should be.
They had hired one of the best wedding planners in New York and to Eric it seemed that she was happier about the whole thing than his fiancé. Even a few times Eric discovered Tina not wearing the engagement ring, which only led to fighting and truth be told he was getting quite fed up of fighting Tina in everything related to the wedding.
“Well honey… are you even sure they wanna come? I mean what could three lesbians do in a wedding anyway? It’s like against everything they stand for, right?” Eric was convinced inviting Tina’s friends was gonna be odd if anything so he was doing his best trying to convince her not to, despite the fact that he was actually looking forward to meeting them at some point.
“Are you… I swear there are times I don’t know who the fuck you are anymore” Tina was more than disgusted at her soon to be husband’s comment. She was not only annoyed at his close-mindedness; she took it perhaps too close to the bone without realizing it.
“Oh nice! Now we’re gonna argue about that too ah? You know I always thought that it was in a woman’s nature to actually enjoy all the wedding preparations and stuff… if you don’t know who I am anymore… then what should I be saying about you?” Eric was being way too sarcastic and offensive and he knew it, but he also knew there was only so much more of this constant fighting he could take.
“Fuck you Eric” Tina simply said knowing that he was right on his last statement, like he always was whenever they got into a fight lately. It was always related to this god damn wedding, an event Tina found herself regretting instead of celebrating.

Wow, no wonder Bette was hesitant to give Tina a second chance. She poured her heart out to her and Tina rejected her. Ouch! I can’t wait for another chapter from the later years.
For someone for whom English is not their first language, you’re doing just fine. Great if heartbreaking chapter.
Just Wow, Wow, that was so heartbreaking that I am actually seding tears as I write this. Bette gave Tina all she had to give her heart and soul, and Tina just stomped on her by being a coward, so I changed my opionion about Julia, she decided to follow her own desires, even though I still don’t know when those desires changed from male to female. Tina had her chance.
Heartbreaking-so happy it’s in the past..!
My heart was hurting for Bette as I read this. Poor Bette. Tina needed to “Man Up” as they say. Well it took her years to didn’t it. Love the story. Keep the chapters coming Please :)
