"Do you want some tea or something else to drink?"
"Sure tea is fine as long as you sit down with me to have it" Kit answered.
Several minutes later with the tea steeped Tina placed a cup in front of her sister-in-law and took the chair across the table from the woman she had come to love like her own sister.
(Hoping to direct the conversation away from the source of her brewing anxiety)
"I have Angelica and Austin’s things all ready–there should be enough for the whole time. If you run out just let me know and we’ll pay you back for whatever you have to get"
Frustration and concern creased Kit’s face as she set her cup down in front of her.
"Are you going to stop talking nonsense now or am I going to have to beat you to find out what’s wrong? That will be the day I will have to be paid back for anything I get for my own niece and nephew. I know that something’s up girl so start talking! What has my baby sister done now?"
All too familiar with Kit’s persuasion techniques Tina sighed deeply before answering, “It’s not necessarily something she’s done Kit other than the thing with the package arriving it’s more I don’t know… how she has been lately. It’s like she’s sliding back to being the way she was all the time– this morning she called to say that she would be late for dinner. Like it was no big deal and I…."
As Tina’s voice trailed off at the difficulty of her next words Kit reached across the table and covered her hands with her own.
"It’s alright. You don’t have to finish I get it. I was there remember–maybe it’s just the pressure of the gallery."
"It’s the maybe that has me frightened Kit. What if its not? I can’t go back there again…I need her to not go back there all the way again."
"Then you’d better do something about this now girl before it gets too bad.”
(Kit getting to her feet) "Where are my little angels anyway? It’s time to visit with Auntie Kit."
Squeals of delight filled the house as Angelica and Austin get their first glimpse of Kit.
You bet I’m going to. Tina answered silently walking behind Kit. This makes what I had planned for tonight even more important

Outside of the weirdness of not allowing Tina to sign for the packages, I would say talking to Bette about these old habits are fine and dandy…where is Dandy by the way?? But What i’m concerned about is how people were honestly expecting Bette NOT to put stress on herself with a musem and her name attached to it…I find that to be ridiculous. I mean I don’t even have a reputation that Bette does in her business but i know regardless of how much i tell myself to chill if i know it has my name on the reports I’m making sure everything is done right. Just the way it is…
I don’t think people were expecting Bette not to stress but rather that she would deal with the stress differently.
Bette needs to deal with this a little differently,Knowing Bette she has capable people working for her. Let them do the work and her put the final touches to it and go home to your family or you want have a family to go home to. thanks
I hope that Bette is not going to screw up again. Also Tina is going to have to give some. But when there are kids involved, it makes it harder on the parent doing most of the raising. Both Bette and Tina have demanding jobs so both need to give to help out with the family.
is Tina over-reacting? Has Bette got a pleasant surprize for Tina? I hope. PPS.
I hope that Bette isn’t falling into her bad habits. I realize it would be stressful to have your own business but you need to find a way to communicate with your partner. I hope that Tina and Bette get things settled before too much drama occurs.
