"Jesus," Bette said breaking into tears, "I don’t wanna kill Kit or James!"

    "Your siblings?"

"Kit is my sister, and James is my assistant but we’re so close he’s like my brother."

"I will train you so you can be around them," I promised.

We fell into a comfortable silence again until Bette asked, "so, like do we die with garlic or a stake to the heart?"

I let out a loud laugh and said, "no! There’s only one thing that can kill us, and that is the silver knife."

    "Silver knife?"

"It’s a knife that glows blue, it’s the only thing that can pierce our skin," I said, "and they are owned by vampire hunters."

"What the fuck? There’s vampire hunters?" Bette said.

"They are not human, they are in a sisterhood of witches," I said, "I mean, they start off as human when they’re in training, but when they have completed their training, they do this magic ritual which make them ageless, but not immortal. They have superior strength and speed, but not as much as us."

"How do you know who’s a witch?"

"You sense it just like they sense us," I said, "any more questions?"

"Sorry," Bette said with a chuckle.

Oh her laugh just made my heart leap. "No it’s okay," I said smiling my best smile, "it’s okay to ask things, I bugged the hell out of Henry with my questions."

"Is he still around?" Bette asked.

"Yes, he lives in Canada somewhere," I said, "I know what you’re gonna ask next, so I’ll just tell you. Yes there’s a deep connection between a vampire and the vampire who converted them. There will be nothing more important in the world than protecting the vampire who turned you."

"So I will be very protective of you?" Bette said.

"Yes," I said, "just like I would be protective of Henry if he were here."

"Okay, one more question, I promise," Bette said.

    "Go ahead," I said chuckling.

"Is your roommate gonna attack me or something?" Bette said nervously.

I laughed and said, "no, she’s a shy, nice girl. Her name is Dana."

"Okay," Bette said with a sigh.

As if on cue we heard the front door opening and Dana’s voice calling out, "hey Tina!"

    2. LoL … See what I meant?! Even dead Jenny still brings trouble :-( … Sometimes I kinda “understand” why IC do it at S6 :-p … Anyway your vampire version is fun to read, looking forward to your next chapter :-)
