    Say So: Part 2

Tina found it difficult to speak with Bette looking so beautiful. She was wearing a pair of white pajama bottoms and a white tanktop. Her bare feet on the wooden floor were perfectly manicured. Her curly brown hair laid against her chisled shoulders. Her arms looked more toned than the last time Tina saw her. Her jawline was stronger, her skin was more bronze, her eyes were more intense. Tina was not only thinking these reactions, she was feeling them. Her knees were going weak at the sight of Bette, her palms were becoming increasingly sweaty.

    She’s cut her hair.

    .
Tina noticed that right away. It looked cute on her and framed her face perfectly. But her Bette was leaving. This new Bette was taking over the body of her old Bette.

    "Is Angie okay?"

    "Y…yeah, she’s fine."

"Okaaaay….then I don’t understand why you’re here. Not that I mind, Tina, but you rarely stop by." Bette gave her a smile. A genuine smile that made Tina’s heart tremble.

"I just….I don’t know….I guess, I was lonely. I left Angie with Kit and Angus."

"Oh. Well, come in." Bette moved aside to let Tina in.

Her nose caught the scent of Bette’s body. She didn’t recognize the perfume or the shampoo. She didn’t smell like the her Bette. She wondered if this was something that Jodi introduced her to. Did Jodi preferred the smell of the perfume or the shampoo to the old ones that Bette used? She took a seat on the couch.

"Do you want some coffee? I have some brewing right now."

"Yeah. That’s fine. Thanks." Bette disappeared into the kitchen.

Bette hadn’t looked at Tina once. Well, she may have looked at her, but not the way Tina wanted her to look at her. Did she not feel all those awkward kisses she gave her before she left for New York? The kisses that she wished were longer, that she longed to prolong and needed so that she could finally breathe again. Did they count for nothing? Did she not see how bad she wanted to stop her from making a mistake?

"Here you are." Bette said, handing Tina a cup. The house was filled with this smell. The smell of coffee and Bette and it was overloading Tina’s senses, "How’s Henry?"

    1. come on bette… you know you only love tina… and she is telling you that she loves you… if only the show’s writers would write them that way…pps

    2. Thanks for writing a Bette and Tina story. I will always want them to be together. I know that Bette is scared wittless but I can’t stop wishing that they could work it out again.

    3. This is a marvelous story. I wonder how they will work this out: it is true that it is difficult to work things out having this kind of past. Please post soon.
