    “Are you leaving us?”

    Bette and Tina looked at each other, turned to the group and in one voice together responded. “No.”

     

    Tina began to speak. “I would never be the reason for her leaving her family.” Tina looked around the table. “You are her family and now I know why you love her so much. The plan is for me to spend more time in LA and less time is Paris. We’ve talked about it and I am going to keep my home in Paris and Bette and I will share her home here. I hope all of you will allow me time to become a part of your family as well.” Tina smiled and the whole table smiled with her.

     

    “Well that means that we aren’t going to treat you like miss fancy pants anymore. You are no longer the enigmatic, most sought after, master anymore to us. You’re just gonna’ be Tina.” Alice was almost joking.

     

    “Just Tina, is good with me.” Tina smiled as Bette kissed her lightly on the cheek.

     

    In her proper English accent Helena began to speak. “Tina, you must be one very special lady. No one else has been able to tame Bette’s wondering eye.”

     

    “Oh, her eyes can wonder all they want. No touching though.” Tina leaned in for a kiss on Bette’s beautiful lips. “I hope the time never comes where we cannot admire a beautiful woman and say as much. That should never threaten a solid relationship.”

     

    “Helena, no one has captured my heart before. Tina has not only captured my heart, she has captured all of me. And I can’t imagine looking at anyone who could possibly be more beautiful than she is, in every definition of the word.” Bette gently rubs her hand across the top of Tina’s leg. “Besides no one ever tried to tame me before. I think I kinda’ like it. I am so thankful that we can enter into this relationship without a lot of old relationship baggage.” Helena had been interested in Bette at one time but, Bette had held her at arms length and now she was very glad she had. Helena made no effort to hide her interest in Tina.
