    Say Nothing Chapter 21

    Chapter  21

The following days of that week were more busy than usual. Still, inquiring calls came in. James and Giselle settled into a groove working together and apparently spending evenings together as well. Bette and Tina had also settled into a groove at the gallery with Tina working on a new piece Bette had yet to see and Bette preparing the gallery for Tina’s exhibit. And at home, Bette’s home was becoming quite comfortable for Tina. Bette wanted it to feel like home for Tina and Tina seemed as though she felt right at home.

    ~~

Tina had decided that she would go to visit her mother for a few days and Bette had taken her to the airport.

“I hope you have a good visit with your mother.”

“I will, she will be trying to fatten me up. She thinks that I am too thin.”

“What will you tell her about your exhibit”

“I haven’t thought that through yet. But, I think there is a lot more to tell her about than the exhibit.” Tina smiled and winked at Bette.

“I don’t really want to be the object of her ire.”

“I want her to know I’m happy.”

“Somehow, I don’t think you will have to tell her. I think she will just know. You kind of exude it.”

    “Is that bad?”

“God, not at all. I see it mostly in your eyes. When I look into your eyes I see a totally different person than the one I met in Paris. Your eyes speak volumes.” Bette’s eyes were looking at Tina longingly knowing that she would miss her while she was gone.

“You know, your eyes are pretty expressive too. They truly are the windows to your soul. Your eyes say so much. And that smile, God, I love your smile. It envelops me. I don’t think I have ever seen a smile convey so much.” Tina gently rubbed Bette’s arm. The smile on her own face expressed much more than contentment.

Bette kissed Tina on the cheek as she held her in a tight embrace. She had gone as far through the terminal as security would allow and she found that she had a bit of a problem just letting Tina leave. “Tina, I am going to miss you.”

    1. EEE am I first, I think it was Chacha that gave you goose bumbs and good for both of you. This story just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. Maybe we should thank Chacha, you too djrk. Thank you, Md

    2. i’m with momadukes… i’m thanking Chacha instead of blaming her :) glad you two had a wonderful holiday. thank you again for this charming story. i really needed a pick me up today and once again a post from you brought a smile.

    3. That was a good reason for a Happy dance. Felt you were writing just for me. Bette doesnt want to admit it ,she is so in love. as for Tina the same. Missing some one is so lonely. You can be in a crowded roon and still the lonelyness ingulfs you. thanks

    4. can’t wait to see who tells the other they are in love and would move mountains to be together… i think tina will be moving to LA… james would also love it… post when you can…

    5. (ignore the screen name)Yay! I finally caught up with this story. Love the flow of it. Somehow whenever i see ‘gisele’ i have victoria’s secret coming into my mind… Can’t wait for more!

    6. Please give ChaCha our eternal thanks for making this wonderful chapter happen. Happy that you both had such a great holiday and time for yourselvesThey do have a great problem to overcome as far as living on different continents. Somehow, I think Tina will move to LA. Maybe they will be able to find property and recreate Tina’s home and property. That might encourage her to move but Bette probably will not want her to give up what she has in France. What will they do? Great chapter. PPS

    7. Well worth the wait, now what are we going to do about thier distance problem. Might be fun for Bette to make the move this time it seems Tina is always moving her whole life for her. Plus I’m sure Bette could open and make a success of a museum in France, James could run the one in Califonia and travel back and forth with Giselle’s help of course. PS

    8. Sometimes, being apart from the one you truly love, makes you realize how much that person has become part of your life. The longing to be together can be painful, too. It’s like the most important piece of a complicated puzzle, which completes your heart and soul is totally missing. B&T are starting to experience how much they mean to each other and they will expose their feelings when the moment seems appropriate. Thanks for this enchanting update. We truly savoured it. Hugs & kisses on both your cheeks. – Lucero & Marsha (Proud Salsa Aunties to the ever loving JC and Eunichick)
