"I love you, T." Bette engulfed Tina into her arms, her heart, her soul. They stood in silence no words were needed right at the moment. They were home.

"Why did you bring me here, babe?" Tina whispered while her head rest soundly on Bette’s shoulder. In actuality, the free-spirited blonde knew exactly what they were doing there. Bette might not think Tina remembered, but she did. Bette once told Tina that she will make the free-spirited blonde her wife in front of their Willow. That day has come.

Bette finally pulled back from the embrace, and leaned in to kiss her soon to be better half on the lips before getting down on one knee. "We’re here because I believe this is where we belong. Our paths are written within the soil of this ground. This place holds our past, and now I want it to witness our present.”

Caramel Eyes withheld her tears before continuing. “The day that I had to move from here, from you was toughest on me.  I was a zombie, soulless, just an empty shell walking on God’s earth. I was incomplete, until years later when you found me; you put the missing pieces back in my heart, and I was alive again"

Tina lowered herself to Bette’s level and hold onto the now sobbing brunette. "Shhh, babe. It’s okay. You know I’ll always come back for you. I promised you that, and I intend to keep it."

Bette smiled at Tina’s soothing words before lifting her eyes to meet with her lovers. "Babe, I love you and I would love it if you accompany me on this walk? I can’t promise you forever, but I’ll promise to love you until I can’t remember my own name. Will you walk beside me in front of all our families and friends, and say you’ll be my wife?" Caramel Eyes pulled out the ring from her back pocket and raised it to Baby blues. Tina smiled but her eyes were telling Bette a different story. "Wait until Tahoe."

Bette popped back into present time, when she heard her front door shut. She looked at the clock on her desk and sighed with lost memories, before picking her eyes back up to face the woman standing in front of her.

"Hey Em." Bette greeted her girlfriend with a sincere smile. They’ve been dating for a little over two months and to Bette’s surprised:  she’s really enjoying her new companion. Em is the first woman that Caramel Eyes has gone out with since Tina’s abrupt exit.
