    Reprisal Reprised- Chapter 4

Tossing back and forth, Tina finally opened her eyes and looked at the clock next to her bed.

“Fuck” she moaned as she saw that it was only 3:15 in the morning.

Admitting defeat, she sat up and turned on the lamp that was on the bedside table, shielding her eyes until they could adjust to the bright light.

Reaching for her book, she opened it to the marker and tried to remember what was going on from the last time that she had read it.

It wasn’t until she was certain that she had re-read the same paragraph three times in a row that she closed the book, placing it down next to her on the bed.

“Damnit!” she said to the empty room, frustration getting the better of her.

“This is not my idea of controlling a situation” she muttered as she rested her head against the headboard.

The evening with Shane had gone well, no worse or better than expected.  It had been wonderful to see her and catch up, good to see how well she was obviously doing.  “Love agrees with her” she thought, a small smile playing on her lips as she thought about Shane finally finding someone that could make her truly happy.

They had not had a chance to talk at length about Alice and Dana but Shane had said that they were both doing well, and that was what she had hoped.

    And then there was Bette.

Talking about Bette with Shane had been much more painful than she had ever imagined.

True, she had been talking about Bette for the last 7 months, but that had been to Joan, a paid professional that she had seen twice a week.

This was different she realized.  Joan didn’t know Bette, had never met her, had never spoken with her had never laid eyes on the woman that filled, tortured, completed and owned Tina’s very soul.

“You would understand, Joan” Tina remembered saying during one of her sessions.  “If you could only lay your eyes on her, you would understand.”

“So, you’re saying that I don’t understand now?” Joan asked, slightly amused at Tina’s passionate declaration.

    1. Hi Skipton, I just finished reading all your stories, six months, Reprisal Reprised and the few short ones. I absolutely just loved your writing, all your stories were, enthralling, amazing and full of deep emotion in short simply brilliant. As I was reading I noticed your posting pattern and for a while it seemed one post in every two months so I am glad that I read now cos I don’t think I could have waited that long. Anyway I just wanted to show my appreciation and thank you for all the brilliant stories that you have written and hope you will continue to pleasure us with your wonderful stories:)

    2. This chapter was amazing. I think that Shane is right and Tina is going to need more than luck. Not only did Tina leave Bette but she refused to see her when Bette went after her that does not bode well for Bette being open to conversation. I hope that Shane doesn’t get dragged into this when Bette finds out Shane knew and didn’t warn her.
