    Chapter 9. Does Alice and Dana still love each other?

              There was a knock on Alice’s door, and Alice walked over to open it. She saw that it was Krista at the door and unlocked it. She opened it and smiled softly at Krista.

    “Hey,” Krista returned the smile.

    “Hi,” Alice moved away from the door, and Krista walked in. She closed the door and walked behind Krista into the living room. Alice shoved her hands in her back pockets and looked at Krista.

    “All right—ask me that question again.” Krista turned around to face Alice. She sighed heavily.

    “Do you still love Dana?”

    Alice sighed nervously. “I-I still do,” Krista shook her head. “But because she was my first love. She was my best friend and then she became my girlfriend. We were great together, but she felt that I was smothering her into moving in with me because Lara had come back into the picture.” She walked over to Krista. “I really do like you Krista and I don’t want you to walk out on me because of this. I’m sorry that I never told you about Dana because I didn’t want to pull yourself away from me. I know you would have felt that you were a rebound, but you’re not. I was in a funk, and my friends were worried about me. Carmen and Shane helped me by meeting you.” She reached down and grabbed Krista’s hand. “I really, really like you Krista.”

    Krista looked at her and smiled. “I really like you too.” She entwined her fingers with Alice.

    “I’m sorry for not telling you.”

    “It’s okay.” Alice rested her head against Krista’s. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around her. Krista pulled her close and held her tight.

    “Let’s take things slow,” Alice pulled away from Krista.

    “Well I think that already went out the window.” Krista smiled.

    “Well let’s take other things slow.” Alice chuckled.

              Dana ran her cup under the faucet as she stood in the kitchen. Lara walked into the house and closed the door. Dana looked up and saw Lara walking into the kitchen.

    “Hey,” she smiled softly.

    “Hey,” Lara never laid her eyes on Dana. Dana walked over to Lara and grabbed her hand.

    1. poooor dana. lol, it’s a hard life for her, what with alice and lara to choose from. i like this, it would have been great to NOT have KILLED dana, so that this kinda fun tension woulda been there in the last season. just a thought. pps!

    2. What a gentle(wo)man A was (kept their clothes on in bed)! Another reason why I like A so much. She was open, honest and caring to Krista. Well done! I actually started to like Krista too. And then, we have a really messed up D who did not know whether she was coming or going. “Sorry” did not cut it anymore. I am sure that there would be more ambivalence down the road. I too hope that D would figure it out soon before inflicting more heartaches on A. Love this post! Thanks AKcb.

    3. I love Dana but she is so stupid sometimes. Why didn’t she just tell Lara the truth? Lara needs to get out while she can. She doesn’t have a chance against Alice. Same goes for Krista. Alice will eventually cave. The Danish chemistry cannot be denied or ignored. Please post soon.

    6. Alice handled the talk with Krista perfectly. Dana? Not so much. Lara is headed for a fall. She should head out before she gets her heart more broken. The friends are right with their advice. Alice and Krista are very cute together, but, they are not Danish. At least Alice is not just sitting on the sidelines watching Dana’s relationship. Thanks for the update, AKcb. I really love this story!

    7. Danish has always made my heart sing. And Lara and Dana has always made me go awe. Alice and Krista make me go ‘if that chick came on L it could so happen. BUT DANISH RULES ALL. Thanks for a great up date
