    Reconciliation-Part 41

    Part 41

It was two days before the Oscars and Helena had dragged Dylan through just about every designer boutique on Rodeo drive looking for the perfect dress or gown for her. Dylan was extremely resistant especially when she saw the price tags but Helena was convinced that Dylan would win and wanted her to look like the winner she was. Dylan finally conceded when Helena suggested that they could both be happy in a leased designer dress. The price would be right and hopefully at this late date they would be able to find something that would be acceptable for Helena. “You never know where your photo might end up. The last thing you want is to fall on the ‘misses’ list. Look, I’ve had my gown and dress for weeks, one for the Oscars and the other for the party at the restaurant. So don’t argue with me. You need something special. Since you might be up on that stage. You need something spectacular”

They were in leasing shop when Helena found a Dolce and Gabana silk strapless black dress. “This looks good. Try it on.” Dylan looked at it and rolled her eyes. “Dylan, do don’t want to see me pout. You can’t just go to the Oscars with a dress of the rack from Macy’s.” Shaking the dress at Dylan, Helena insisted she try it on.

Dylan took the dress and headed to the dressing room. Under her breath Dylan said, “Spoiled brat.”

“I heard that,” shouted Helena after Dylan. “You’ll thank me when you are up on that stage and millions of people are looking at you.”

“Yes, dear,” responded Dylan sarcastically. When she returned she stepped out and did a poor woman’s pirouette. Helena smiled and nodded, “What do you think? I think this might be it.”

Dylan looked in the mirror and had to admit, the dress was simple but elegant and beautiful. It clung to Dylan’s long lines and gentle curves just right. Helena stood behind her and nodded her approval. “What do you think?” asked Helena as she smoothed out the dress.

Dylan smiled at their images together in the mirror and responded, “I think it looks beautiful.”

Helena hugged Dylan from behind, kissed her on the neck and agreed, “Yeah. I think it looks pretty special and spectacular.”

    1. You have me nervous that something’s going to happen to Dylan in Africa. Maybe Helena should go with her to make sure she’s safe. I couldn’t bear to see Helena broken-hearted again if something happened!

    2. Did you really end it there?! lol! Grrrr! Raquel playing opposite Nikki…hmmm. I do love Dylena…but “Tall and tan and young and lovely…” lol!

    3. Oh Squirl your poor Helena is going to get burned no matter what. If Dylan couldn’t tell Helena about the note because of jealousy she should at least recognise that her dream is screaming at her not to keep those kinds of secrets. Is that woman ever going to grow a pair and spill her feelings before it is to late? Now about the “it” girl, she still needs a situation and I am still here just in case. Good Luck to you tomorrow Squirl I’ll be thinking of you. Thank you, Md

    4. Good luck tomorrow tomorrow and a speedy recovery. If my girl hadnt torn up the noteor if she had told Helenawhat she did. Hang her head, you can’t build trust like that. Will she tell Helena and risk losing her,or will Raquel ask Helena about the letter??Lose Helena over omission? Gee, just hope my girl Dylan is not going to burn bridges. Is she going tocome back or get hurt badly on her trip? Be safe tomorrow. thanks

    5. The winner better be Dylan – goodness how I would have loved to see her in that rent-a-dress. Ahhh…I can imagine the two of them together at the awards. Freakin’ awesome! Okay so Dylan needs to stay away from all the lions, tigers, and large beasts she sees in Africa. Racquel needs to forget that she left Helena a note. And Helena – she just needs to remember how good the O’s are with Dylan. Let’s wrap this party up with some hot Dylena action! (Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Squirl! I’m sending out positive energy)

    6. Will that be enough for Dylan to chill? Oh she of little faith. And she’s got a gown for the big night, Helena’s got a new ring, but what about Dylan’s accessories? And no doubt the new It girl (does Raquel have any idea who Clara Bow was?) will be at the Shaolin party.

    7. Wow. I think the winner is Dylan. Laughs. For a multitude of reason. The part about the ring was beautiful; kinda reminds me of when my girl gave me our ring and cheekily asked me which “hand” I would wear it on. (: Then she told me she hope I’d wear it on my left. Yes, indeed reserved for those special commitments. (: Beautifully written as always. PPS! (:

    8. woah so much is happening..my head is in turmoil something tells me there are gonna be a few ups and downs before they are completely as one.Great job as always
