    What happened after Tina told Bette she wanted to come “home”.


    “I’m gonna love you, like nobody loves you, and I’ll earn your trust making memories of us.”

     

    The line from the Keith Urban song ran in an endless loop waking Bette from a restless sleep.  She lay there not moving, trying to remember the events of the day before.  Tina saying she wanted to come home to have their baby.  Tina saying she wanted them to be a family.  Bette had been dumbfounded and just sat next to her for the longest time, digesting, wondering why?  Why now after everything that had happened?  Was it out of pity?  Tina knew that Bette had been devastated by the loss of her father and then her job.  No, that couldn’t be it.  Had she really finally forgiven her?  And what about Helena?  God, that *****!

     

    “Baby?  Bette, you’re holding me too tight.”

     

    Bette looked down at Tina who was now squirming in her arms.

     

    “*****, sorry T, I didn’t realize.”

     

    Tina tried to stifle a yawn, unsuccessfully.

     

    “Go back to sleep T, it’s still early.”

     

    “Bette, remember what we agreed to last night?”

     

    Bette sighed.  They had started talking once she had come to her senses and had not stopped until the sun started to rise on a new day.  They spoke honestly and openly about the devastation each had experienced as a result of Bette’s affair and in the end they knew that while they had grown as individuals their souls had stayed as one.  No matter what had happened, no matter whom they had slept with, no matter what they did to tear each other to pieces, through it all, underneath it all, was their love lying there waiting to be recaptured. 

     

    “Communication.  Communication is the key.”

     

    Bette looked down again to see Tina looking at her with an eyebrow raised.

     

    “I woke up to a country song running around my brain and just started thinking about yesterday.  I tensed when Helena came into my thoughts.  I’m sorry, but you wanted to know.”

     

    “Since when do you listen to country music baby?”

     

    “T, there are a lot of things I did out of character when we were apart.  Country music is the perfect music to listen to when your heart has been broken and your trying to beat yourself up over it.”

      And this is how I’d like to think happened after T told B that she wants to come home. In fact, I was just watching that episode the other day and how sweet it would’ve been if this was what happened. Wow, this was soooo hot!!

    29. I swallowed had and recited a mantra for calm before reading this. The mantra, mind you was useless.
      “I didn’t’ know which end was up anymore as something started to buzz at the same time her fingers started their rhythm. I was lost in nirvana once again as I felt my body come alive. Soon I was buzzing everywhere, crying for her to go deeper and harder.”
      Um, can someone call 911 for me? I can’t breathe and I’m buzzing everywhere. And panting… Damn Chasemenow. Damn.
