6 Weeks Later

Bette came home from work. Later today, they would go to Dr. Wilson for another ultrasound but first she would enjoy a meal with her gorgeous, pregnant lover. Tina was standing in the kitchen wearing a tank top that was too small for her belly and some sweat pants. This morning she had such a headache she couldn’t go to work. Bette walked over to her and kissed her woman’s shoulder.

“Hello, sweetheart.” She greeted her.

“Hi, babe. Oh, I found some amazingly cute names!” Tina said and turned around to kiss Bette.

“Tell me.” Bette told her.

“I still like Jules but maybe we could choose Kyra (KEER-ah) instead of Randy. And maybe we could pick Wyatt instead of Sylvester.”

Bette smiled. “I love them. TJ, Wyatt, Jules and Kyra.”

“We can still have four girls or four boys, babe.” Tina said.

“I know, I know…” Bette said rolling her eyes and beginning to set the table after she playfully slapped Tina’s behind.

The couple was back in Dr. Wilson’s office.

“I can see the nutritionist helped but one still isn’t growing properly. I am a little worried about that.” The Dr. told them. Bette and Tina looked concerned.

“What can we do about it?” Tina asked.

“Keep up the diet and maybe eat a little more. The others will get bigger to but this one really needs to grow more.”

Tina and Bette looked at each other slightly panicking.

“Now, you don’t have to panic. It happens more with multiples, most of the time they survive… Do you want to know the sex of the babies?” The doctor asked.

“Uh, yeah.” Tina looked at Bette who nodded.

“You’ll get two boys and two girls.” The Dr. smiled. That made both women smile, just what they hoped for. “Do you want me to print a picture?” She asked.

“Yes.” Bette answered. The Dr. pushed some buttons and a photo came out.

Soon, they were out of the office once again.

“I hope our little one grows.” Bette said worried.

“She will baby. I think we should name our littlest Kyra. That means strong woman and she will survive.” Tina told her love before kissing her on the cheek. They reached the car and got in to drive home. Bette started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot.
