Tina woke up to an empty bed and the smell of pancakes. She got up and dragged herself to the kitchen. She saw Angie sitting, the dog sitting patiently next to her waiting to be fed. Bette was cooking, which brought a smile to Tina’s face.

    “You’re cooking?” Tina smiled.

“Well, Grover asked for pancakes.” Bette said.

Tina’s smiled wiped away. “Kidding Tee, you’re not supposed to give a dog sweets.” Bette rolled her eyes, “It’s a ‘thank you for not kicking the dog out of bed’ breakfast.” Bette said, giving Tina a kiss.

“Well… I wanted to.” Tina said.

“Oh, Tee, don’t worry, he won’t be sleeping in our bed forever.” Bette said kissing her cheek.

    “Good.”

“Just like a month until he’ll get used to us.” Bette quickly added getting the pancakes to the table.

“BETTE!” Tina yelled her eyes big. “There’s no way… look I gave you a grace period. There’s no way this…this…” Tina said struggling for words because of Angie.

    “Grover” Bette helped.

“Grover,” Tina said with contempt. “Will sleep in our bed! Come on Bette what if we’ll want some… ‘Alone time’?”

“We’ll go to the couch…” Bette mumbled.

“Bette! Do you hear yourself? I mean you bought him a doghouse!”

“Yes, but there isn’t a bed there! I mean it’s just an empty house. You know what they say, a house isn’t a home.”

“Fine then get him a basket put a blanket in it! Make him a space of his own inside the house, but not in the bedroom.”

“But Tee,” Bette whined, “He’s on my side of the bed”

“Well if you want me on your side of the bed anytime soon you make sure he isn’t.”

“Oh come on baby, he’s so cuddly! “ Bette whined.

“And I’m not?” Tina gave her a deadly look.

“Fine, I’ll find a place for him” Bette mumbled not happy.

“Thank you.” Tina said, starting to eat.

“Oh Tina you should see him eat an apple! Or a carrot! He makes the cutest chewing sounds! Like a human been.” Bette said excitedly.

“He has his own food, why do you need to give him ours?”

    1. LMAO! This hits too close to home. I have a very jealous dog. If I want action, I have to pay my dog off with treats so that he will leave us alone. And before you say lock him out, tried, he howls and barks the entire time killing the mood…oh it’s bad

    2. I love dogs well small dogs cuz im not really fond of big, licky, jumpy ones especially retrievers. my mom has a lab and he is sweet but he just looks and acts dumb. the only big dogs i like are great danes, pittbulls, and dobermans but regardless they belong outside so i feel for tina. if it were me, bette would get to sleep with old grover all she wanted cuz she would be in the doghouse with him

    3. too funny. I can’t even hug my girlfriend without my one dog barking at me and pushing between us. Room on the bed, what’s that. Grover does have good taste though, gotta love that he growled and barked at Mandy.

    4. LMAO, Grover may have just found his way to Tina’s heart. :) I love that he was protective of her and Bette when Mandy tried to play her little game.
