    Alice tells Dana about her past, present and a little someone called Shane.

    Dana couldn’t remember her name let alone what had been on her mind before the earth shattering sex.

    “Earth to Dana? You okay?”

    Dana looked at the blonde beauty that was smiling down at her. She had given Alice her heart, she just hoped that everything that had happened between them hadn’t been some ploy to uncover Dana’s life and set her up for a huge celebrity downfall.

    “Alice, are you an undercover reporter?”

    Alice sighed at this; the truth was so complicated that she just hoped that Dana stayed to hear all of it.

    “It’s hard to say.”

    “No, I think it’s a case of yes or no.”

    “It’s more a case of yes and no really.”

    Dana was about to throw Alice out of her bed for lying to her, but she stopped and thought for a minute. Something didn’t make sense.

    “Huh?”

    Alice smiled; at least she was willing to listen.

    “I was a war correspondent and I have infiltrated both crime gangs and drug rings. But now I’m a hooker.”

    “For a story? It’s not like you’d need the money.”

    “It’s surprising how little I was paid. I never did it for the money, it sounds tacky but I did it for the story.”

    “Well at least answer me this. Are you writing now, was being with me a lie?”

    Alice leaned forward and kissed Dana lightly on the lips.

    “No. Nothing with you is a lie. The way we met was real, the bloody nose was real and your secret is perfectly safe with me. I promise.”

    Dana looked into Alice’s eyes. They shone with truth, affection and above all trust. Alice was trusting Dana with her secret life and she was going to trust the blonde back. Dana settled down on the bed and pulled Alice in closer.

    “So, are you going to tell me about your life?”

    “You got a week?”

    “For you anything, I’ll clear my schedule.”

    Alice laughed at this. Dana shifted slightly but only to reach down and pull the duvet over their bodies. Alice rolled onto her side and Dana spooned in behind her, she wrapped her arms around the blonde’s body and held on tight, kissing her on the shoulder she closed her eyes.

    1. I don’t think anyone will complain about frequent postings — just don’t burn yourself out! Yay for Alice’s bed head! I wouldn’t mind a Dana alarm clock. Can I find that on eBay? Gah! Poor Alice. She really is incredibly strong to do all that for Shane. I hope Dana can help in a way that doesn’t hurt any of them or her relationship with Alice.     2. I’m being horrible with my commenting lately, and I’m so sorry. Let’s just say I know how it feels to have lots of assignments clawing away at your time, lol. I absolutely adore this story. I always suspected that Shane played some part in Alice’s “career” choice, and although it might sound weird I think it’s very, very sweet. The whole thing. You surprised me with Alice’s explanation, but in a very good way. I love not knowing exactly what’s coming, and the way you explained things makes perfect sense. You’re great at this.

    5. felix86, yes, I do miss “Recovery” but no worries, this story is equally awesome. I will gladly settle with just one. Love the revelation, Shane? that was too much.. which was good. How can anyone not like A? What a great friend she was! Part of me wonder even if D would pay off the debt, A would still want to be on the street to continue her investigation, right? I am so glad they had the chance to talk and love the waking up part too. This is simply amazing. Thank you.
