"Bette, no!" I cried as we walked back to the car.

"I already scheduled our first band rehearsal," Bette laughed, "come on, we can play your songs."

"I would love that, but I cannot be the lead singer!" I said getting in the car.

"Why not?" Bette said getting in the passenger side, "you’re gonna spend your whole life being scared?"

"I’m not scared," I lied turning on the car, "it’s just…"

"You know you can’t lie to me right?" Bette asked.

I sighed. Damn her amazing musician intuition.

"Look I’ll help you T," Bette said rubbing my shoulder, "I’ll make you brave."

"The name you guys made for the band doesn’t help," I laughed.

"What you don’t like it?" Bette smiled.

"No, it’s great, it’s just so funny," I said, "automatically we’ll be looked down upon."

"I think we’ll be fucking fantastic," Bette said, "the pioneers of the gay community."

"Lez Girls," I announced the name of our band.

"I can’t wait until the rehearsal," Bette said excitedly.

"I’m more anxious to meet your family," I said in a nervous tone.

"Tina, relax baby, they’ll love you," Bette said.

She called me ‘baby.’ Oh my God, my heart had never beat so fast.

The words spilled out before I even had a chance to control them, "I love you."

I felt her eyes on me as she said softly, "stop the car."

I felt tears rising to my eyes and my heart starting to wrench as I pulled over to the side of the road. I forced my tears to stay inside but I was failing miserably.

"Tina," she said softly grabbing my face in her hands, "why are you crying?"

    "I’m sorry," I sobbed, "I shouldn’t fallen for you, I shou…"

    "Tina, stop!" Bette cried.

    "I’m sorry," I cried.

Bette silenced my cries with her lips. "Stop apologizing for falling for me because," Bette paused to look into my eyes, "I love you too."

My tears of despair quickly turned to tears of joy as I pressed my lips against hers. I moaned into her mouth bringing her as close as our seatbelts would let us.

"Mmm, T," Bette breathed breaking the kiss, "you’ve already been torturing me all day, if you keep going I’m gonna die."

    1. I really love how Tina bonded well with Kit and little Jimmy he’s so adorable… Nevermind Melvin arent we all used to him like that? Lol! In due time im sure he’ll come around once he realized how Tina loves Bette. Waiting for more, thanks:-)

    2. Hey TB24, great update as this story develops. The connection between Bette and Tina is growing at an expotential rate. WHen it is right, it is RIGHT! The first “I love you” was so sweet and loving. Tina’s tears were understandable and Bette coped well. Then the meet the folks and family. It was good to have Jimmy and Kit warm to Tina so quickly. I think they sensed that Tina would be good for Bette. The down side was Melvin reluctance to accept her daugther’s girlfriend as anything other than a friend. Perhaps Tina can show the error of his ways but I can’t see it happening anytime soon. Jimmy was a real dreamboat. Tina suddenly realised that she wants a family in her future and Bette, Jimmy and Kit do complete her. Playing the Wii was the perfect way to bond with Jimmy and take up residence in Bette’s heart. More please and many thanks for brightening my day. Your Loyal Fan.
